Kanye West (now legally called Ye) has asked Drake to give a eulogy at his funeral. On March 5, 2025, Ye made a statement on X, unleashing yet another internet-breaking remark.

In a surprise declaration of respect, he confessed that jealousy had once blinded him in case of Drake, before concluding with a request:

"I LOVE DRAKE IMA SAY THIS WHEN I DIE I NEED YOU TO SPEAK AT ME FUNERAL."

The post followed shortly after Ye reacted in awe at a video of Drake flaunting his massive collection of rhyme books.

Drake, so far, remains silent. But the internet has already made this into an event of its own.

Within hours, social media sites were filled with memes, jokes, and wild speculation about what Drake's hypothetical funeral eulogy.

Would he accept and offer Kanye a loving sendoff? Would he try to slip in one final diss?

One user commented:

"Bro like do u love him or hate him pick a side 😭"

It’s not beef, it’s a situationship.

Another user, probably hitting at the absurdity of the situation, joked:

"I want Shakespeare to speak at my funeral."

Verily, good sir, thou don't ask for much—perchance summoneth him with an Ouija board?

One user predicted:

"Tomorrow he will say he hates him."

Give it 24 hours, max.

A user humorously mentioned:

"I'm starting to think that Kanye has a crush on Drake."

Maybe Kanye’s love language is chaos.

Meanwhile, a user quipped:

"Ye is gonna tweet a drake diss in the next 7 days bro can't stop flip flopping."

A comment read:

"Kanye and Drake’s relationship is the ultimate rollercoaster ride, man! 🎢😂 Nothing says I love you like a funeral invitation, right? Imagine Drake on the mic, dropping bars about life, love, and the afterparty!"

At this point, they’re just an old married couple who refuse to break up.

A chronology of the beef between Ye and Drake

Kanye and Drake's relationship has swirled unpredictably throughout the years, vacillating from sincere respect to petty beef and back again, with each chapter being well-documented in records, interviews and social media breakdowns.

Their beef goes back to 2018.

A heated dispute occurred when Pusha T published his diss track titled The Story of Adidon while exposing Drake's hidden son to the public.

Surprisingly, during their intense personal feud, they occasionally kept a peaceful demeanor. In 2013, Ye acknowledged Drake as the inspiration behind his collaborative album Watch the Throne with Jay-Z.

In 2021, the two musicians reportedly put their differences aside when they performed at the Free Larry Hoover benefit concert in Los Angeles, which many observers interpreted as their final reconciliation.

Naturally, that peace did not last for long. Their relationship over the years continued to balance between peace and animosity.

Kanye has even gone as far as to claim that Drake privately purchased a huge quantity of tickets for a Pusha T concert just to make the venue appear empty.

Though there is no real evidence to back this up, Kanye has upheld the claim, saying that Drake is the kind of individual who "gets people hurt at concerts."

Simultaneously, Drake has frequently been accused of taking advantage of Kanye's most vulnerable moments for his own gain, shading Ye subtly in songs while profiting from their hyped drama to create publicity.
