It finally happened. The live-action Minecraft movie has given us a first look at an Enderman, and let’s just say… it’s definitely something. The eerie, blocky creature that haunts the game’s Overworld has now been brought to life but instead of striking fear, it’s sparking a whole lot of laughter.

Fans were quick to point out that this version of the Enderman looks suspiciously human, leading to some truly hilarious reactions. If you ever wondered what an Enderman would look like if it hit the gym, wore a turtleneck, and casually strolled down the street, well here you go.

Why Does the Live-Action Enderman Look Like That?

The image, which surfaced online recently, showcases the film’s take on the Enderman, and let’s just say, it wasn’t quite what people expected. Instead of a towering, shadowy nightmare with glowing purple eyes, it looks like a tall guy who just got lost on his way to a Halloween party.

Naturally, the internet wasted no time in absolutely roasting this design. The biggest complaint? The neck. In the game, Endermen have an elongated, slightly unsettling floating head, but in the movie, it seems like they’ve been blessed with a full human-like neck. And once you see it, you can’t unsee it.

There was the reaction that summed up what we were all thinking:

"WHY DOES IT LOOK LIKE A HUMAN."

One user (@MOSD3V) summed up the neck-reference perfectly:

"Enderman should not have a neck."

And honestly? Fair point. No one was expecting the Enderman to have a defined skeletal structure, yet here we are.

The reaction was instant and brutal. Within minutes, social media was flooded with jokes, memes, and just pure confusion. Many fans couldn’t believe their eyes, and some even questioned whether this was a serious design choice or just an elaborate prank.

A user sarcastically wrote:

"At least there's not much money wasted on costume budget, for it. 🤭"

Another user (@jakebsweet) compared it to a certain early 2000s TV show, saying:

"This really reminds me of 2002 Power Rangers, and not in a good way."

Another user chimed in:

"Enderman looking like he had just walked out of a DIY Halloween costume contest."

And then there was this user sharing a hilariously meme made with the Enderman picture:

At this point, it’s unclear whether the filmmakers were aiming for realism, budget efficiency, or just a general “let’s see what happens” approach. Either way, the result has turned the Enderman into more of a meme than a monster.

While Minecraft fans may not have gotten the terrifying Enderman they expected, they did get one of the funniest movie reveals in recent memory. Whether this live-action adaptation ends up being a faithful recreation of the game or just an unintentional comedy, at least we know one thing it’s already entertaining.

And hey, if nothing else, this version of the Enderman might be the easiest Halloween costume of all time. Just grab a black hoodie, stretch your neck, and boom you’re ready for Hollywood.
