Captain Bobby Nash (aka Zaddy Fireman Supreme, played by Peter Krause) has died in ABC's 9-1-1. The narrative revealed that before his death, Bobby was going through significant changes in his life. He quit working as captain of Station 118 and began working as a consultant for a television show about firefighters.

There are no such updates on why writers thought of emotionally wrecking everyone, but here we are. The firefighter dad and trauma therapist of the squad is gone. And did you think social media would just shrug it off? LOL, no.

Individuals are sharing memes of how Bobby's death just destroyed their whole soul. X users are perhaps ready for a mini revolution if that's what it takes to bring him back.

In a statement to Variety, Krause said:

"... it was more than a bold creative choice on a bold show. Bobby Nash was written in sacrifice and he was built for this. First responders risk their lives on the job so that others can see another day. His story arc honors them."

The teaser for the next episode includes Athena's voiceover, saying:

"I've experienced a devastating loss... He's not supposed to be dead. He just left. He left me."

Captain Bobby Nash’s death in 9-1-1 sparks meme chaos

That one user sobbing like the world ended: Bobby didn't deserve this, like why do good things ALWAYS get taken away? There was no better caption to capture how off guard writers caught us.

Bobby's death is becoming everyone's 13th reason why at the moment. It looks like it just broke the last shred of our sanity.

Could we cry any harder? For real, WHY did they have to go and do it like that to him? Emotional devastation is uncalled for, and users are virtually crying on timelines.

Users are here posting crying GIFs, going on about how they might as well give up on the show now. Like, they're DONE.

There are users out here claiming they're NEVER gonna forgive ABC for this. Like, how dare they label it a "creative" decision to kill him off when all it did was destroy our souls?

This user just posted a GIF of a person firing rounds, essentially stating that they don't care if Bobby's a corpse in a sack, they want the showmakers to revive him. That's it.

Fans are out here organizing full-blown virtual protests to cancel the show, declaring this is no longer funny.

Some fans have completely entered their unhinged era — they're out here posting funny GIFs, essentially threatening to throw hands if they ever meet the 9-1-1 writers.

More fans are spiraling and sharing GIFs like they've just been personally betrayed. The writers didn't merely break the fourth wall; they knocked it down and slapped everyone in the face.

Captain Nash passed away in Season 8, Episode 15 of 9-1-1. He became ill after a lab explosion exposed him to a lethal virus.

His oxygen hose ruptured, and the virus entered through his suit. He didn't inform anyone because he did not wish to trouble them. There was only one dose of the antidote left, and he administered it to Chimney, who was ill and deteriorating as well.

Eventually, Captain Nash remained alone in a room so that he would not infect other people. He bid farewell to his wife Athena and his crew, and he died from the virus.
