Elon Musk has become synonymous with innovation, thanks to all the things he does that no one else could think of—be it self-driving electric cars, launching and catching rocket boosters, working towards establishing human civilization on Mars, or putting brain chips inside people. The man is certainly out to make our lives much easier, and it seems he has another massive plan in the works.
The Optimus robot, also known as the Tesla Bot, was built to perform a wide range of everyday tasks in and around the home - and it's been improving at a rapid pace, as Elon Musk recently stated on X (formerly Twitter). He added that there will be a legion of Optimus robots this year. The tweet has sparked widespread interest, with many curious to know what it would be like to have one at home.
Hilarious Internet Reactions
Musk's tweet generated quite a few reactions online, with people taking to the comments section to share their amusing thoughts on the Optimus robots.
"Is this a declaration of war?" a user asked.
Wait a minute - did Elon Musk just say there will be a 'legion' of Optimus robots coming out this year? Is this a secret declaration of war? Looks like this user might be on to something!
"Can it fold my laundry and put it away?" wondered another.
If the Optimus robot will be able to handle everyday tasks at home, does that mean it can do our laundry and even fold our clothes too? Because that sure is a drag for many people.

Looks like this user is convinced we might be facing a war against robots in the coming years, just like the 2004 film I, Robot - and seems to be gearing up to defend himself against the machines!
"My next pet will be an Optimus🤖," a user said.
Now, who would have ever thought we’d have robots as pets one day instead of actual animals? That day sure seems closer than ever.
"But can they grapple and do Brazilian Jiujitsu? I want to see this thing do a flying armbar… or at least a judo throw," joked another.
The real question is: Can these robots grapple and do Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, or at least pull off a judo throw? Because this user really wants a good sparring partner who can fight without ever taking a break.
Elon Musk sure seems to have sparked both hype and fear by announcing a legion of Optimus robots this year. Well, there’s only a little time left before we find out which side was more justified!
