The early Billboard Hot 100 predictions have dropped and the pop culture masses have collectively lost their minds. The major takeaway from the charts is that Kendrick Lamar, who can seemingly do no wrong these days, sits atop the mountain while Drake, by his lofty standards, sits at a measly #3.

You can fill in the blanks about what happened on the timelines as fans wasted no time turning the statistical chart showdown into a meme factory.

Early Billboard Hot 100 predictions send fans into a frenzy

Sandwiched between the two eternal rivals Drake and Kendrick is Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars' 'Die With A Smile', in a list that is dominated by usual suspects like Alex Warren, Sabrina Carpenter, and Billie Eilish. Rounding off the list of top performers is Doechii who sits pretty at #15.

But as is the case with everything nowadays, it didn't take long for the event to turn into a digital battleground between the warring factions of Drake and Kendrick Lamar stans. So when the Billboard predictions dropped, fans went at it again as X turned into a roast-a-thon where Kendrick's fans flexed their muscles:

"The Luther video wasnt even needed hahahahaha", joked one fan (via X / @KaidozDodo)
"Someone call UMG and get Nokia some Payola", quipped another (via X / @DogNinja99)

We are stressing the fact that these are just predictions and not cold hard facts. But the fans blissfully ignored the fact and ridiculed Drake for getting dunked on his head by Kendrick. Out of all the 100 songs on the Billboard Predictions charts, Kendrick stans decided to troll the guy sitting at #3, which tells you all you need to know about their rivalry. They really treat the charts like it is a two-man race....

"No Key A really Toosie Sliding down the charts. Kendrick you will always be famous", mocked one fan (via X / @PGManeT)

While Drake stans tried to mount a comeback, they were put back in their chairs almost instantly. In their petty scuffle, fans forgot about Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars' 'Die With A Smile' which has been consistently topping the Billboard charts over the past few months.

Drake came under the line of fire again as fans trolled 'Nokia' for languishing at a distant third:

"Drake fans mad at the wrong people how they skipped over lady Gaga and went straight to Kendrick. You have to get pass number 2 to get to number 1 and she might bring in more streams after her Coachella performance this weekend", quipped one fan (via X / @moolah909)

Another fan came up with a hilarious meme that had the netizens in splits:

The distaste that Kendrick and Drake fans share for each other is real and it is not going away anytime soon. Amid the chaos on X, one fan expressed his objections to other songs on the charts as well:

"Lose Control and A Bar Song, my God, delete these songs from the earth"

While most fans were caught in the Drake vs Kendrick debate, other songs on the Billboard predictions list went under the radar. One fan poked at the users for engaging in frivolous debates and not enjoying the music instead:

"They listen to music with a calculator"

The kicker is that these are just guesstimates and might not even hold water once the real Billboard charts drop. Maybe Kendrick will hold onto his statistical throne, or maybe Lady Gaga will make a rally, or maybe Nokia will make a leap, who knows? But while the Drake vs Kendrick debate rages on, we can look forward to more such occasions when fans turn a simple event into a meme frenzy!
