Drake took to Instagram to post a screenshot of the now-viral footage of him tossing a slipper at a drone. The post includes more than just the drone attack—there’s also a picture of him in a sweatshirt with the word “Stake” on it, followed by another pic featuring a sweatshirt with the words “Anita Max Win Tour.”

And, because it needed one last twist, the carousel ends with a random dude belting out a song.

The caption accompanying the post read:

“The stakes are high…but so am I.”

What does it all mean? Your guess is as good as ours.

This post came after the rapper was minding his business in a luxury Sydney penthouse when he noticed a drone hovering near his laptop, which was open to several websites.

Clearly unimpressed by this high-tech peeping Tom, Drake grabbed the nearest thing in sight—a slipper—and chucked it with precision. Or at least he tried.

The drone dodged the projectile and flew off into the sunset, its mission—whatever it was—left unfinished.

The internet quickly started spinning theories.

Many believe the whole thing was staged, pointing out that the laptop screen in the video just so happened to be showing Stake, a gambling site Drake is famously linked with.

Some eagle-eyed viewers even claim to see the reflection of a drone operator, suggesting this might’ve been the most elaborate advertisement for online betting.

The internet reacts to Drake's post

Details about this bizarre slipper-vs-drone battle may be scarce, but reactions are overflowing.

Taking a jab at the rapper, a user mentioned:

"when i’m in a corny off and my competition is drake"

This just indicates that whatever Drake is attempting to do, some people consider it cheesy.

As another user said:

"he is so embarrassing"

While being called "embarrassing" is embarrassing, wait till you hear this. A user stated:

"This is some real 2014 high school boy posting right here"

Ouch! That was a real burn.

A user declared:

"If he makes a comeback, it will need to be studied."

A Drake comeback would require a NASA-level investigation.

One user went on to say:

"It’s giving wannabe edgy 14 year old"

Oh no, not the internet’s resident vibe analyst.

A user quipped:

"Him and these corny tumblr quotes 😂"

Damn, imagine beefing with Tumblr quotes in 2025.

The Anita Max Win Tour

The slipper scandal isn’t the only headline Drake has generated in Australia. His Anita Max Win Tour has been an event in itself.

According to Daily Mail, during one of his concerts, he spotted a sign from a fan that read, “Help us quit Maccas” (Aussie slang for McDonald’s).

Drake—complete with an exaggerated Australian accent—offered to help them quit their fast-food gig.

Whether the fan actually handed in their resignation remains unknown, but at the very least, they got a once-in-a-lifetime career pep talk from Drizzy himself.

What’s in a name?

And in case you were wondering about the name of the tour—Anita Max Win isn’t just a random collection of words. It’s a playful persona Drake introduced during a live stream back in 2023.

The phrase “I need a max win” is a nod to gambling lingo, a world Drake is very familiar with.

It’s a fitting name, considering the stakes (pun absolutely intended) he’s playing in casinos.

The tour, which kicked off on February 4, 2025, in Perth, has fans buzzing as it continues across Australia and New Zealand, hitting major cities like Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and Auckland.
