Dennis Graham, Drake's father, attended the Grammy Awards this past weekend and mingled with the music industry's elite. He was questioned over Kendrick Lamar's record of the year win for "Not Like Us," the diss song that ended the rap battle between Lamar and his son while he was there. Dennis seemingly came just for the free refreshments and a front-row seat in the action!
Lamar won a Grammy for his song from 2024, and in all five categories was nominated. His long-running dispute with Drake, who has yet to comment on the song's success despite the praise, led to the record-breaking single.
A video of Graham's reaction has been rolling on the X account for quite a few days after the Grammys. We can see him in the video when asked about his thoughts on Kendrick Lamar 'Not Like Us' getting the record of the year, saying:
"I don’t care nothing about that sh*t,” he answered as he walked away. “That ain’t got nothing to do with me. All the best to him, man. I don’t do that bullsh*t."
Dennis most likely arrived at the Grammys anticipating an enjoyable evening of music, possibly some socializing, and undoubtedly some refreshments. However, he was suddenly placed in the hot seat and questioned about his son's rap feud and Kendrick Lamar's diss track.
It would be similar to being asked to DJ at a party as mostly he was only there to enjoy the entertainment, but now he is in the news! At least he didn't have to freestyle his response, even though it appeared he got more than expected.
Fans reacted quickly to the news, as expected, and their opinions were poured into the comment section. As is always the case, the internet made the moment viral.
Reactions quickly began to flood in, with some ridiculing Dennis for being in the news for something wholly unexpected and others talking about what this might signify for the rap scene's future. Fans always add their own special twist, and this instance was no different.

What began as a straightforward journey to the Grammys ultimately became a surprising chapter in Dennis Graham's rap career. He might have gone there for the music and the vibe, but he found himself squarely in the thick of a discussion that combined celebrity, family, and the constant drama of the rap industry.
It's the Grammys, though, so anything can happen. Dennis got his time, but he wasn't ready for the limelight. Who knows? The Rap Dad might also be competing for an award next year for one of his best-supporting rap dads.
