Drake Bell recently revealed that he’s open to reviving Drake & Josh, the iconic Nickelodeon sitcom that ruled the mid-2000s. It looks like childhood nostalgia might be making a comeback whether we want it to or not. In an interview with E!, he said,

“We would love to do something… There’s been talk throughout the years.”

That’s right. The stepbrothers who had us screaming “HUG ME, BROTHA!” might be reuniting. But as fans were quick to point out, there’s one tiny, little, barely noticeable issue… doesn’t Josh hate Drake?

Drake & Josh reboot? Fans have questions

Bell’s statement instantly sparked reactions, but not for the reasons you’d expect. Instead of excitement, the internet collectively squinted and said, “Wait… didn’t these two have beef?”

For those unaware (or those who don’t spend their free time lurking in celebrity drama), Drake and Josh’s off-screen relationship has been a little rocky. After the show ended, their friendship wasn’t exactly thriving, and the internet never forgets. So, when he started talking about a reboot, fans wasted no time cracking jokes.

The internet doesn’t just react to news; it roasts it. And this time was no different. Fans immediately flooded the comments with memes, skepticism, and enough side-eyes to fill a Nickelodeon soundstage.

One user summed up the general confusion:

"Doesn't Josh not like Drake though?"

Which, let’s be honest, is the elephant in the room. If they do a reboot, is it going to be a heartfelt brotherly reunion… or an hour of passive-aggressive side-eyeing?

Another fan was already bracing for disappointment:

"Ain’t no way they are making a spin-off to ruin the original show 😭😭😭."

Considering how most reboots have gone (looking at you, That ‘90s Show), we kinda get it. Nostalgia is great, but sometimes, it’s best left in the past, like low-rise jeans and MySpace.

Speaking of questionable reboots, someone pointed out the pattern:

"Tbh all the reboots of the old shows were ahh."

One fan really hit the nail on the head:

"Drake and Josh, the forbidden two man."

If this reboot happens, it might just be fueled by pure chaos.

Then, there was this absolute masterpiece of a plot idea:

"Plot twist: It’s just them trying to find the door that Megan stole."

Honestly? We’d watch that.

But not everyone is on board. Another user said:

"I don’t think we need this tbh."

The show gave us legendary moments, from the Peruvian Puff Pepper scandal to that time Josh ran over Oprah. But do we need a reboot? That’s up for debate.

One thing’s for sure: if this does happen, it better come with Megan still being 10 steps ahead and a random, unexplained Dora the Explorer reference. Otherwise, what’s the point?
