Many of us have must have watched the second season of Squid Game, and a lot of us were gooped and gagged in every episode. You think that the Squid Game hype is over but you are wrong! We are still going to the exciting part which is: Hot Ones x Squid Game collab.
On January 11, 2025, First We Feast teased a Squid Game collaboration on X and a lot of fans got excited and happy that they were thinking of things that could be used for the first time collaboration.
Because of the announcement, many fans and social media users were quick to reply to the collaboration with funny observations and suggestions:
"Do they have to bite the chicken wings into certain shapes?", a user wrote.
Some X users tweeted that maybe the dalgona biscuits will be spicy since the Hot Ones are all about spicy things (spicy chickens, to be exact):
"Are they gonna make the dalgona cookies spicy??," another user commented.
There are many suggestions on what they should do on the Hot Ones:
"Make them eat cookies with hot sauce," someone replied to the post.
Some X users also urged Hot Ones to guest some iconic Squid Game season 2 characters, such as Thanos (played by T.O.P).
Based on the replies and quote retweets, many people are saying that the Squid Game x Hot Ones collab is the next game, saying that this game can make or break the characters that we loved in Season 2.
"This was totally unexpected but i'm so excited to watch" said one X user.
A lot were excited for the Hot Ones x Squid Game collab but some say that it is random and they did not expect the collaboration at all! Well, what can we say, expect the unexpected!

Since Hot Ones is said to be one of the most entertaining talk shows on the internet, their partnership with Squid Game is not surprising. Both of these shows are famous, fun, and have FOOD (yes! We are counting Squid Game as a somewhat food show because of its Dalgona and other food that were shown in the show).
In addition, both Hot Ones and Squid Game have a strong fanbase and they can put up numbers especially since Hot Ones' talk show format is different—the guests are eating spicy chicken and drinking drinks while talking to the host, Sean Evans. Moreover, maybe the Squid Game guest/s at the Hot Ones will hint at a season 3 storyline or they will hint at what will happen to the remaining characters of the show!
The Hot Ones x Squid Game collaboration is still under wraps except for its show date, scheduled for January 14, 2025. Here's to hoping that there will be memorable moments in the episode and that's to manifesting that they recreate one of the Squid Game games: Red Light, Green Light while eating a spicy chicken, perhaps.
