"Did anybody ask for this?”: Fans react hilariously as Will Smith announces 'Hancock 2'

Remember Hancock, the movie where Will Smith plays a hated superhero trying to improve his public image? Well, it looks like the 2008 blockbuster is finally getting a sequel that fans have been waiting for over 15 years!

In a recent livestream with xQc on Twitch, the 56-year-old revealed that Hancock 2 is currently in the works and that Zendaya is being approached for a role in the film. While the news has excited many fans of the original, some have questioned whether a sequel might ruin a perfectly good film.

The million-dollar question many fans have been asking is, did anybody ask for this? After all, it’s been over 15 years since the film’s release, and fans had already made peace with the idea that a sequel would never happen.

It appears this fan would have much rather preferred a sequel to Will Smith’s 2006 film The Pursuit of Happyness. But who knows, maybe making Hancock 2 is the actor’s true pursuit of happiness!

Hmm, I can’t tell if this user finds the news so boring that he'd rather sleep or so excited for the film that he doesn’t want to be woken up until its release!

Looks like this user has had quite enough of seeing Zendaya in every other film and TV show. The 28-year-old actress definitely seems to be in high demand in Hollywood!

Well, as this user suggests, it would make a lot of sense if Chris Rock were cast as the villain in Hancock 2. Both actors would have no trouble playing enemies. And all Rock’s character has to do to anger Hancock is fail to keep certain people's names out of his mouth!

Some of the funniest scenes from the first Hancock movie were his hilariously reckless antics, like this scene where he destroys a boat while throwing a whale back into the sea to save it. And fans definitely seem to want more of that!
