Chappell Roan is facing the wrath of the internet for her apolitical opinion. However, it's not the kind of apolitical where you do not comment at all. The Good Luck, Babe! singer did make a comment about not making a comment.

During her recent appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast, Roan said:

"How can these girls tour, write, perform, interview, sleep, eat, AND EAT! and workout. How can they do it all and lead the team? And be a boss and pay people and be like f***king so politically educated."

To which the host, Alex Cooper, expressed:

"It’s exhausting."

Chappell Roan added:

"It is also impossible. Also, why are you looking to me for some political answer? ... I'm a pop star. I wish I had the answers, I wish the president was a pop star, but she's not."

The internet wasted no time dissecting her words and, naturally, roasting them. Some were lost, asking what she even meant when she asked how girls eat and have a political opinion at the same time. Like, what's the context? Do people have to be hungry in order to have political opinions?

Others criticized that she was coming from a place of privilege, inquiring why she could not speak to the difficulties of the common people.

Thus, social media was filled with jokes of every sort regarding Chappell Roan and her effort to be neutral yet make a political statement.

Social media reacts as Chappell Roan makes an apolitical political statement

Social media users are having a good time, poking fun at Roan's recent statement saying it's really not that difficult—because that's how life is for everyone.

Others are even chuckling, declaring it a great day on the internet when a pop star is roasted for absolutely no reason at all.

A user @tayforehead stated:

"How can a girl EAT!!! and still be politically educated?!?! girl what the hell are you saying."

Another user @Swift_Style_13 added:

"I’ve been saying she’s not built for this."

A user @JaxxueTS poked fun, saying:

"You know it’s a good day when twitter is mad at Chappel for no reason."

Netizens are cracking up, trying to figure out what it even is to have a pop star as president and then hold a political opinion on it.

Others are citing how she closed her eyes, like she was going to reveal something profound and deep, yet ended up leaving everyone utterly baffled instead.

One user, @cassibeestacy, served a soft roast, saying:

“How am i supposed to work, take care of myself, and educate myself on politics” the same way everyone else does queen."

A user @grimeth_i pointed out:

"I wish the president was a popstar" wtf is she talking about 😭😭😭"

A user @idkira8080 joked:

"And closing her eyes like she’s saying the most spiritual shit while channelling the oh so sad universe of popstars 😭"

A user posted a brief video clip that embodied serenity for not having watched the interview and needlessly getting angry.

"How it feels to not watch the chappell roan call her daddy clip and scroll past every quote tweet on it."

One user pointed out the absurd irony of the situation, saying:

"Chappell roan stans have been political policing people since she became popular and now it’s suddenly “don’t go to pop stars for your politics” lmaaooo."

Some users are expressing 'done with her' attitude via hilarious memes.

"Scrolling past every Chappell Roan discourse tweet on the tl"

A user hilariously mentioned:

"Peace means never watching any videos of chappell roan talking."

Even though Roan may not have said it the way people are interpreting it, in the end, it's just another thing for social media to use as a joke.
