Keanu Reeves' BRZRKR film gets its director, and it's the fella who got the cars flying in Fast & Furious. Director Justin Lin is now going to bring Keanu Reeves' extremely violent comic book BRZRKR to the screen.
Reeves co-created this comic book series that is based on a real immortal warrior. The narrative focuses on a half-mortal, half-god fighter named B, whose typical day is made up of intense battles, existential crises, and eliminating the U.S. government's problems—forcibly.
While this one managed to dodge a full-blown roasting, that doesn’t mean the internet let it slide without cracking some jokes. Sure, they weren’t as brutal as usual, but the memes and lighthearted jabs still came rolling in.
The internet won’t pass up the chance to have a little fun at anyone’s expense.
An X user (@debayo_xx) joked:
"Keanu is immortal irl, so this is basically a documentary."
Somewhere in a basement, there’s an untouched Keanu Reeves portrait aging for him. IYKYK.
The user (@debayo_xx) humorously asked:
"So is this John Wick final form?"
We started with a dog, now we’re at immortality. It tracks. A user (@asianoppar) dubbed it as:
"Immortal John Wick?"
So basically, they just gave him Wolverine’s healing factor now?
A user (@waigerHQ) mentioned:
"Keanu just keeps playing himself in different timelines at this point."
We now have Cyberpunk Keanu, Samurai Keanu, and God-tier Keanu.
A user (@KeanuGeorgios) went on to state:
"Keanu Reeves will finally get his well-deserved biopic!"
This might be the first biopic where the lead actor IS the real guy. The only problem is he still looks too young to play his younger self.
A user (@iitsnick) hilariously asked:
"Why is it named like an energy drink?"
Twelve-year-olds in Fortnite lobbies are going to think this is peak branding.
What even is BRZRKR?
BRZRKR is a comic book series developed by Keanu Reeves, writer Matt Kindt, and artist Ron Garney. The series launched in 2021 and proved to be an instant success, selling millions of copies worldwide.
The protagonist, B., is half-mortal, half-god, and completely cursed to blow up anything he comes across.
Having spent centuries tearing through war-torn landscapes, he winds up working for the U.S. government, taking on missions that would send any regular soldier to smithereens.
In exchange, he hopes to finally learn the truth of his existence—and perhaps, hopefully, learn how to end it. Because when you’ve been fighting for thousands of years, even immortality starts to feel like a bad deal.
Netflix is all in—and Keanu Reeves is all in too

Netflix noticed the hype, smelled the potential, and went all out on a live-action movie, featuring none other than Keanu Reeves himself.
And that's not all.
They're also producing an anime series to further flesh out the BRZRKR universe.
Reeves isn't only acting in the film—he's also producing, along with industry heavy-hitters Stephen Christy, Stephen Hamel, Ross Richie, and, naturally, Justin Lin.
And now, a word about Justin Lin…
Lin's CV is essentially an action love letter. He transformed the Fast & Furious franchise from street racing to shooting cars into space.
Now, he's bringing that same essence to BRZRKR.
The man knows his way around adrenaline-pumping sequences, and with BRZRKR’s reputation for unhinged combat, Lin might just turn this film into an action masterpiece.
Just swap out Vin Diesel’s family speeches for Keanu Reeves swinging an axe at supernatural entities, and we’re good to go.
Keanu and Lin have been around since Last Days, Lin's independent film that Reeves co-financed as an angel investor.
Now they're collaborating again. Looks like everyone is in for a treat!
