Here it is, folks- Billboard has officially crowned Nicki Minaj as the greatest female rapper of all time. Billboard, after going through all of the timelines- past, present, future, and all the other multiverse timelines as well- decided that Nicki's name would be the only logical conclusion to come up with. In a list dominated by old-school rappers of the '90s, Nicki stands tall, perched at the top of the mountain.

Nicki Minaj's coronation as the best female rapper sends fans into a frenzy

Nicki has been ever-present in the industry and has accomplished a lot in her career, with several iconic tracks to her name. To be honest, Billboard officially enthroning her as the undisputed GOAT of female rappers was a long time coming and adds another feather to her cap.

When fans caught wind of the news, social media erupted with memes in celebration of Nicki Minaj's latest victory. X became a war zone of celebratory GIFS, all-caps victory laps, and demands to give her the only award that has proved elusive to her- a Grammy:

"SHE DIDN’T BREAK THE DOOR DOWN, SHE RENOVATED THE WHOLE HOUSE", exclaimed one fan (via X / @szaseiji)
"She didn’t open the door she built the whole house and put a throne inside it", commented another enthusiastic fan (via X / @holigirll)

Billboard's metrics for any coronation are notoriously vague- apart from the usual suspects like sales, streams, and brand value, allegedly they make their decisions by reading tea leaves, flipping a coin, and judging who's got the superior pets. But everyone plays along for the fun of it all.

But this was an exception, as the decision to appoint Nicki Minaj as the best female rapper was met with unanimous applause from the fans. The decision was allegedly made within a split-second, and Barbz (Nicki's fans, as they are affectionately called) had a blast pointing out its inevitability:

"Aka clouds found in the sky", joked one fan (via X / @SirenaDaSleeze)

Another fan applauded Nicki Minaj for leaving others in the dust:

As the news dropped, fans of other rappers cautiously peeked from behind their keywords to make sure that Barbz did not see them. While some ran for cover, others opted for a bolder approach by challenging Billboard to a duel at sunrise:

"And they lied", quipped one fan, taking a dig at Billboard (via X / @ilyciwyw)

One fan went a little overboard as they pointed their finger at a sore spot, which started a mini fan war :

"Grammys don’t think so"

Amid the mass hysteria, one lone warrior woke up from a fever dream to make an absurd statement that had the whole internet in splits:

"Adele deserved"

This absurd statement left fans scratching their heads in unison as they frantically searched for any rap songs Adele may have released. Half dismissed the fan for living in a different reality, while others debated if this meant Adele had a hidden rap catalog somewhere.

Cardi B? We get it. Doechii? We also get that. Sexyy Red? We would be willing to have a reluctant talk. But Adele? Her name came totally out of the syllabus!

Nicki Minaj's coronation as the best female rapper is certainly deserved, for all the hard work she has put in over the past several years. Billboard didn't just crown her, they gave fans a headline that will fuel rap debates until the end of time. In the end, we are all winners courtesy of the absurdity that unfolded on the internet.
