Solo Leveling is all the rage these days. The anime showcases the protagonist, Sung Jin-Woo, transforming from the weakest 'E' rank hunter to the literal god of hunters, with no one equal to him in sight. He is essentially a cheat code, and watching him level up while annihilating everything in his path is truly gratifying to the eye. He levels up faster than you can say his name, and witnessing his evolution from a coward to someone whose foes cower before him is a remarkable sight.
It's not just Sung Jin-Woo who has grown; we've all leveled up by watching him intimidate his opponents with just a mere glance. Fortnite, on the other hand, is the ultimate party animal, always ready to mingle and collaborate with every shiny new toy. It's a never-ending mashup of pop culture icons, making Fortnite the ultimate crossover event.
Fans LOL at news of Fortnite rumored to collab with Solo Leveling
Over the years, Fortnite has become synonymous with celeb collabs. It's gotten to the point that it is now less a game and more a digital mashup of pop culture icons. From Travis Scott to Goku to Spiderman to John Wick, it feels like everybody has been a part of Fortnite. At one point, even Ariana Grande showed up to concert-blast noobs into the shadow realm.
So when news came out that Fortnite was reportedly going to collaborate with Solo Leveling, netizens collectively lost their marbles. This sparked a huge uproar on social media, with fans making fun of the absurdity of the situation:
"Aura farming in Fortnite is crazy", joked one fan (via X / @Chunchunmaru996)
"If this is real, imagine getting clapped by Sung Jin-Woo in a Battle Royale...", wondered another fan (via X / @sakura_venom)
If Jin Woo is involved in the Battle Royal, it's already lights off for most of his enemies. His knights alone are enough to wipe the floor with them!
Fans were excited and terrified at the same time while imagining Sung soloing his way to victory. Fans came up with theories of how the scenario might play out in Fortnite:
"The way solo leveling goes it’s only gonna be a collab for 1 day leaving everyone blue balled up like the show", quipped one fan (via X / @0xKingBall)
"Seeing Sung Jinwoo with a gun in his hand will be weird. But honestly if I'm not mistaken you can give Jinwoo a gun in Solo Leveling Arise so that's not entirely unthinkable", remarked another fan (via X / @axelbeskarX)
It is bold of him to assume that Sung will need to protect himself using guns. If the news comes out to be true, the guy's shadow army will do most of the heavy lifting while he asks Igris to do a TikTok dance for him, just because he can. His piercing glance alone would be enough to scare his enemies out of their wits! It's a crossover that screams, "Why not?"—because in Fortnite, anything goes.
One thing that can be guaranteed from this crossover would be complete and utter chaos! Jin-Woo's arrival would be the ultimate power move, leaving other players wondering if they should keep building forts or hiding in the bushes.
While some fans were smiling from ear to ear and hoping the scenario would come true, others were not as satisfied. One fan (@JustMustard1), in particular, demanded that other animes be afforded the same luxury as Solo Leveling:
"IDGAF Add light Yagami from Death Note instead", clamored the fan.
While Fortnite's choice of Jin-Woo would be interesting, Light Yagami would break the internet if Fortnite collaborated with Death Note. Can you imagine him writing fervently in his diary while eating a potato chip? Oh, that would be glorious to watch. We can't fault the fan here; let's just hope both collaborations are coming soon because they are long overdue.
Fortnite is the ultimate crossover game, and if the news of its collaboration with Solo Leveling comes true, fans are in for a special treat! Granted, most fights would be over instantly, with Sung not even needing to flex his muscles, thanks to his Shadow Monarch powers, which make him the ultimate Victory Royale winner. But it would be fun nonetheless.
