The Studio Ghibli memes have taken over the internet, and fans can't seem to have enough of sharing the whimsical animations on social media.

Social media users have been having a jolly time turning nostalgic moments into relatable quips that resonate with fans of all ages. Stable Ronaldo also tried his hand at recreating the viral trend, and he was undoubtedly impressed with the ease and sophistication with which he was able to recreate the scenes.

But in all his infinite wisdom, instead of pairing the Studio Ghibli art with a relatable and quirky caption, he came up with a ridiculous one instead: that human artists should pack up their brushes and tablets because their days are numbered!

Fans roast Stable Ronaldo for advising artists to call it a day after being impressed with Studio Ghibli memes

Studio Ghibli memes are undeniably delightful and have a certain rustic charm to them. They have now become so popular that they’ve infiltrated every corner of the internet, leaving no timeline untouched.

Stable Ronaldo, the Twitch streamer, shared a Studio Ghibli meme on his timeline, and got so caught up in the moment that he felt the need to come up with a ridiculous statement - that AI is about to take over and artists might as well not bother showing up! He then hilariously proceeded to claim that he was an AI artist now. The statement made headlines on social media and fans didn’t just disagree with him, they turned Ronaldo into the punchline of a troll fest:

"60 IQ take," trolled one user (via X / @combat_matrix)
"How do these re*** think AI gets the inspiration? I'll give you a hint. They steal it from... thats right! Artists," commented another (via X / @GoDitsmeAgain)
"Bro loves rage baiting so hard," quipped another (via X / @Angelica_Reed1)

While some fans embraced Ronaldo's tongue-in-cheek remark, others absolutely lambasted him for it. His views clearly hit a nerve as fans began concocting theories of their own about why Stable Ronaldo felt the need to come up with the absurd statement. Some claimed that he was just looking to stir up chaos, while others suggested he had a beef with artists.

Some fans even hilariously claimed he was an AI himself and that's why he was advocating for AI supremacy. The roasting didn't stop until midnight as fans accused him of spoiling the good name of Cristiano Ronaldo:

"3/10 rage bait how do you have Ronaldo in your name and constantly fail," joked one fan (via X / @OSm0sisjones)

Another fan argued that all of the claims were a hoax and humans were doing just fine before AI came along. She then went on to blame AI for the bad quality of TV shows:

"AI is the reason all our shows s*ck now," claimed the fan (via X / @BabyLaneyBear)

One fan (@ThePenisFrens) was so fed up with Stable Ronaldo's claims that he went on on a rant for the ages, leaving the netizens in stitches:

"Wow, Stable Ronaldo really out here acting like AI is the golden ticket- guess fundamentals like discipline and actual skill are just too much for the TikTok generation to handle. These kids grow up with no boundaries, thinking everything should be free and easy, more obsessed with clout than craft. AI might be the future, but no cheat sheet can replace the grounded knowledge that real artists build over years. Maybe stick to Fortnite, bro—art’s clearly not your lane."

Who knew a single Studio Ghibli meme could lead to so much chaos on the timeline?

While intentional or not, Stable Ronaldo rubbed a lot of people the wrong way. The Studio Ghibli meme takeover keeps the pot boiling. While AI is undoubtedly changing the landscape of creativity, it’s unlikely to completely replace human ingenuity anytime soon. So artists can rest easy, safe in the knowledge that AI is merely there to collaborate with them, not replace them completely.
