Fans also trolled the announcement, saying that if the 4 films dropped the same day, then it'll be hard for them to recover their budget because 4 films in one day is not doable especially to people who have some work or are studying on the release date.
"4 movies in April 2028? Yeah, good luck finding people with that much free time." - another fan added (via X/@szaseiji)
Other fans are hopeful about the films' release tho, saying that they will be watching the 4 films in a row, eye strain be damned! (via X/@rasalistair)
Some fans are also confused, being puzzled that there is 1 movie per member of The Beatles! (via X/@english_shamar)
Fans also roasted the release date of the 4 films, saying that it should have been released next year and not on 2028 so that the hype is not yet dead.
"2028?!??! Why not next year?!?!?" - another fan replied (via X/@WigginsWick22)
X users are also hilariously curious as to how Sam Mendes would connect all the Fab 4s' stories and scenes, will he reuse old footages? Will he reshoot them? Well, it's up for us to find out in April 2028!
"How are they going to handle it for specific pivotal moments when they performed or talked together all 4 as a group? Will they reuse scenes? Should be interesting how they handle it" - an X user asked (via X/@luism8989)
Other X users also clowned the announcement of the release date of the films, saying that it will be like 1964 all over again because the Beatlemania will be alive once the films hit the cinemas. (via X/@SirTopiano)
And finally, X users are on board with Sam Mendes' crazy idea, and they are here to support Mr. Mendes' out-of-the-box creativity!
"That’s a wild idea. I like it" - another X user remarked (via X/@rendawg90)
Why did Sam Mendes create 4 The Beatles films instead of 1?
According to Sam Mendes, he created 1 film for each Beatle because he wanted to show people how deep John, Paul, George, and Ringo's mind process things and how their life revolves around making and creating music and also, their friendship. Aside from these reasons, the director also said it was high time for viewers to understand and to get to know them a little more since The Beatles' personalities are complex and it's not black and white as others are saying.
Since The Beatles is a big and famous band, making one movie is not great; that's why Sam Mendes created 4 films so that each Beatle will be presented in a way that is humanizing and not patronizing.
