So, what happened?
Let’s go back to October 29, 2024, when President Joe Biden—appearing on a Zoom call — caused quite a stir when he said something that Trump supporters would find rather incendiary. "The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters," he said, as a reference to a joke by comedian Tony Hinchcliffe who referred to Puerto Rico as a floating island of garbage at a Trump campaign rally.
The White House swiftly came to Biden’s rescue to ensure people didn’t misunderstand him as being against Trump fans but against Hinchcliffe’s joke. Too late! The garbage label was out there, and Trump was ready to roll (literally) with it.
Trump, in a move only he is capable of, then arrived at his next rally in Wisconsin in a full-blown garbage truck complete with an orange vest and gesturing to supporters like a proud garbage man.
“How do you like my garbage truck?” he quipped, “This is in honor of Kamala and Joe Biden.”
