The boxing match between Lamont Roach and Gervonta Davis for the WBA lightweight world title on March 1st was definitely an entertaining showdown for boxing fans, with Gervonta Davis emerging victorious and successfully defending his title. However, it looks like something very interesting happened during the fight - something Lamont Roach himself has just addressed.

While reacting to his fight with Gervonta Davis, Lamont Roach addressed something boxing fans had been speculating about ever since the match - whether Davis attempted to bite his ear. Roach admitted he didn’t even notice it until someone pointed it out later and accused Davis of fighting dirty because he knew he was up against a tough opponent.

Hilarious Fan Reactions

Fans laughed along with Lamont Roach's reaction to the video and shared their hilarious takes.

"144P resolution," a fan wrote.

For a fighter who likely makes tons of money from boxing, you’d expect Roach to record his reaction in HD, not 144p. It seems this user is quite bummed by the picture quality.

"Bet the farm, Tank by ear nibble knockout," commented another.

Looks like we just missed the first-ever knockout by ear nibble in boxing history! Lamont Roach really dodged a 32-toothed bullet from making the kind of history no boxer would want.

Channeling Mike Tyson (via @howboxingworkss / X)

Wait a minute, haven’t we seen this stunt before? Back in 1997, wasn't Mike Tyson disqualified for biting off a piece of Evander Holyfield’s ear during their infamous bout? Perhaps this was Gervonta Davis' way of paying homage to Iron Mike against Lamont Roach!

"Tank must’ve got the munchies in the middle of the fight that boy was hungry 😂," a user joked.

This fan hilariously believes that Gervonta Davis must have suddenly gotten the munchies mid-fight. If that's the case, he just proved that when you're hungry enough, you'll eat anything - even an opponent's ear!

"I need this rematch," demanded another.

Many fans, such as this one, are disappointed by the alleged bite, believing it may have cost Lamont Roach the win. Now they want a rematch, to see who bites harder with their fists this time! Or better yet, an all-biting match!

The Tank vs. Roach boxing match entertained fans in more ways than one. Fans are also expecting a rematch between the two. So if that happens, who do you think will be biting the title this time?
