Who rode the world's longest slide? Katy Perry. She went on an all-girls trip, but it's not what you think it is. While you and your girlfriends might go to the beach or the mountains, Perry and her squad chose to do something different and went where no one would ever think about going. She went to space!
Katy Perry was accompanied by American TV personality Gayle King, Bezos' fiancee Lauren Sanchez, former NASA rocket scientist Aisha Bowe, movie producer Kerianne Flynn, and civil rights activist Amanda Nguyen. They boarded Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin space shuttle and went 100km above Earth, crossing the widely recognized space boundary, giving them a reason to say that they were in space.
The flight took off from its West Texas launch site. The booster landed back in Texas, where the crew landed softly like a baby brought in by a stork. The entire mission lasted 11 minutes.

A day before the launch, Katy Perry had shared videos of her space capsule, giving her fans a sneak peak into what was about to happen. Then, right blasting off, she tweeted a message on her X page, stating;
"I Love You"
This made many fans emotional, and they prayed for her safe return. Finally, the capsule was launched into space, and before fans could complete their prayer, Perry was back.
She came out of the capsule feeling victorious and more patriotic than before. So much so that the first thing she did was kiss the ground that she was on 10 minutes ago. Her co-passenger even said that during the flight, Perry sang 'It's a Wonderful World' by Louis Armstrong. Although some people must have expected her to sing E.T.
