Per NBC, at the time, she was sitting in a truck with a man, her friend, when two other men tried to break in and steal it.
Sgt. Jorge Garibay with San Jose police said at the time:
"Officers located an adult male victim who reported that his vehicle had been stolen by two adult male suspects. The vehicle was occupied by a female adult passenger. The female was taken into the vehicle against her will."
However, at around 3 p.m., an anonymous individual located the woman and escorted her to the police station. Reportedly, she sustained minor injuries, though she was visibly disturbed.
