David Dobrik is making headlines for his comeback to YouTube as he debuted some new muscles and a shredded body over two years after he stopped making videos on the platform.

Dobrik was one of the most popular content creators at the time, though he uploaded his last video in March 2022. Per Dexerto, the reason for his departure can be linked to the launch of his pizza-based business, Doughbrik's. He set up shop in November 2022, and while his YouTube channel may have been abandoned, he has been using Instagram and Snapchat a lot.

As reported by The Mirror, however, another reason for David Dobrik's departure could be linked to the last video he uploaded in March 2021, describing the alleged s*xual assault and problematic behavior rampant in his friend group, Vlog Squad. He was consequently accused of poking fun at a grave situation and ignoring the plight of the survivor who came forward.

However, he did apologize in a follow-up video not too long after for not getting in touch with those affected and making "bad jokes." Now, David Dobrik is back on the channel with his transformation video, titled "SURPRISING FRIENDS WITH BODY TRANSFORMATION!!"

Clips from the footage and screenshots of the YouTuber's new body have been doing the rounds online, with users expressing shock over his different physique.

"My best friend and I made a deal. The deal was I would stop being a fata**," he wrote at the beginning of the video, explaining that his physique comes amid his efforts to make drastic changes in his life. In the video, he shows off his "before body," drawing the shock of some of his friends. "I've let myself go."

At one point, MrBeast makes an appearance in the video, and the two content creators shake hands on a bet that states that if David Dobrik failed to get "jacked," he'd have no choice but to purchase 20,000 Feastable bars.

In the wake of David Dobrik's return, some of his old fans have been going wild. Users expressed shock over seeing the push notification alerting them that Dobrik was back on the app, while others were in disbelief about his new appearance. Others, however, were quick to bring up his past, referring to him as an "enabler" of a s*xual predator.
