Details on the Piedmont Cyber Truck Accident
On November 27, around 3.00 am, the Piedmont police were notified of a vehicle crash by an iPhone in the car. The authorities reached the scene to find a Tesla cyber truck in flames and tried to extinguish the flame but to no avail. Later, the firetruck arrived at the scene and extinguished the flames.
The truck had four people, but a driver of another car who happened to know the victims was able to pull one of them out; the other three were pronounced dead on the scene. There is no information on who was driving the truck.
According to USA Today, the preliminary investigation by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) states that the cyber truck, after jumping a curb and hitting a tree, came to a stop with the front part of the truck wrapped around the tree.
On Monday, Police Capt. Chris Monahan told USA Today that the cause of the crash is still under investigation, and though the police don't know if drug or alcohol was involved in causing the crash, speed is believed to be one of the causes of the crash.
The chief of CHP, who is investigating the crash on behalf of the Piedmont Police Department, revealed that the investigation could take several months.
