Texas billionaire Mark Cuban is facing the wrath of many Republican and pro-Trump women including Trump's senior advisor Susie Wiles following his comments about Trump and the women that surround him. In an interview with ABC News, Cuban had said:
“Donald Trump, you never see him around strong, intelligent women. Ever. It’s just that simple. They’re intimidating to him. He doesn’t like to be challenged by them and, you know, Nikki Haley will call him on his nonsense with reproductive rights and how he sees and treats and talks about women. I mean, he just can’t have her around. It wouldn’t work.”
Since Mark Cuban's comments, many Republican women and Trump supporters have hit back at him for his comments. Susie Wiles, Donald Trump’s top adviser and effectively his campaign manager has also condemned Mark Cuban's words. In a rare social media cameo, Susie Wiles wrote:
"I’m told @mcuban needs help identifying the strong and intelligent women surrounding Pres. Trump. Well, here we are! I’ve been proud to lead this campaign. Complimented by @Linda_McMahon ,Chair for Transition Policy and @LaraLeaTrump ,RNC Co-Chair."
Who is Susie Wiles?
Susie Wiles is a highly influential, behind-the-scenes political adviser for Donald Trump, often called his most important strategist and de facto campaign manager. Her influence is felt, rather than seen, as she rarely appears in public or speaks openly about herself.
An article detailing Susie Wiles by Politico, mentions that for over three years, Wiles has acted as his right-hand strategist, helping secure Trump's position as the GOP's leading candidate and boosting the professionalism of his campaign. Susie Wiles's guidance has been key to Trump’s political resilience, even after his 2020 loss, the events of January 6, his party’s 2022 midterm defeats, and his ongoing legal battles.
Over a 40-year political career, she’s managed major campaigns for figures like Rick Scott and Ron DeSantis, establishing herself as one of Florida’s top political operatives and a respected Republican strategist nationwide.
How has Mark Cuban reacted?
In a post on X, Mark Cuban clarified that his comments were directed at Trump and not the women who supported him. He wrote:
1. I know many strong, intelligent women voting for Trump. Including in my extended family. I’m certainly not saying female voters are not smart , strong and intelligent.
2. I know he has worked with strong intelligent women, like Elaine Chao, Kelly Anne, Ivanka and many others...
I stand by my opinion that he does not like being challenged publicly."
Other pro-Trump women like Alina Habba (one of Trump's lawyers) also took to their socials to call out Mark Cuban for his comments. In a post on X, she wrote:
“Mark Cuban, you can go to hell,”
Sarak Huckabee Sanders, a republican Governor of Arkansas came out in support of former president Trump. She said:
"President Trump empowered me and the millions of other women who will vote to put him back in the White House on Tuesday! #WomenForTrump"
Mark Cuban has endorsed Kamala Harris for the coming elections.
