On Christmas Day, Indiana rapper Screwly G was arrested in Lake County, Indiana. According to the site Recently Booked, which lists the charges leveled against arrested suspects, the rapper named Dashaun Jawaun Bradley was booked in Lake County prison, Indiana for recovered stolen property. The circumstances behind the arrest are unknown.
The news of Screwly G’s arrest first emerged on multiple social media platforms, including Instagram and Facebook. The Facebook page Blanco Tarantino TV, with over 38,000 followers, said the rapper from Gary, Indiana, Screwly G, was arrested on Christmas Day in Lake County over theft charges related to recovered stolen property. The post added:
“Details surrounding the case remain limited, but this marks a significant moment for the rising artist, known for his presence in the Midwest rap scene.”
The rapper’s mugshot was also shared on the site Recently Booked. The rapper seemingly confirmed the arrest on his X account. On December 27, 2024, two days after the arrest, the rapper posted:
“Thinking damn to myself while sitting In a cell #FreeMe.”

Screwly G is a 24-year-old rapper from Gary, Indiana. The artist described as a rapper, entertainer, and social media sensation, is reportedly known for his spin on the RVA drill genre. With 244,000 followers on Instagram, the rapper began making waves in the music scene with the release of his debut track, "Real Spill," in 2020. He rose to fame with the release of his album Thoughts Of A Gunna in 2022.
The rapper has been steadily showcasing his skills online for years, which resulted in 70,000 monthly listeners on Spotify earlier this year. Shortly after, the rising star was officially signed with Grade A Productions & Geffen Records.
In August 2024, Screwly G made headlines over his Instagram Live, where he called out late rapper FBG Duck’s associates. FBG Duck, aka Carlton Weekly, was murdered in 2020. Six gang members, Charles Liggins, Kenneth Roberson, Christopher Thomas, Marcus Smart, Tacarlos Offerd, and Ralph Turpin, were arrested for the murder.
In the Instagram live, Screwly G alleged FBG Duck’s associates were targeting him on social media. In an expletive-laced rant, he added:
"Y'all got more aggression for me than for anybody. I guarantee I finish your a*s. On my dead cousin. Right where you at."
The rapper continued he was not intimidated by FBG associates, noting they were not as dangerous as they claimed to be.
