Travis Hunter, a well-known College Football player who played the 2024 season as a cornerback and wide receiver for the Colorado Buffaloes, won the Heisman Trophy 2024.
According to the latest reports, as congratulation pours in for Hunter, his girlfriend Leanna Lenee is receiving criticism from fans of the Footballer after a video clip from the award show which features Deion Sanders, Hunter's coach, allegedly having to make Leanna Lenee stand up when the Hunter was announced the winner at the Award Ceremony.
Who is Leanna Lenee?
Leanna Lenee is Travis Hunter's girlfriend. According to reports, Travis and Leanna met when the latter was nineteen and reportedly started dating in 2022. Lenee graduated from Kennesaw State University in 2022; she reportedly finished her four-year degree in two years.
On February 2023, Lenee shared a heartfelt note via her Instagram on their first anniversary. It reads as follows:

Since they got together, the couple has often shown love to each other via social media and other public platforms. According to reports, the couple got engaged on February 4, 2024.
In an interview with the 2Legendary podcast, Travis Hunter revealed his plans with his fiancée Lenee. He informed that the couple intends to get married in Chattanooga, Tenn., on May 24, 2025.
Lenee, known for showing up at her boyfriend's game in "legendary fits," is also expected to have a launch as an NFL fashion designer, reports Sports Illustrated.
However, like many celebrity couples, Hunter and Lenee's relationship has also received criticism, with most of them targeting Lenee.
Similar to the recent issue at the award ceremony, Lenee was previously criticized by social media users for looking 'upset' at a game despite her boyfriend's win. Many have even 'advised' the Football star to get a Prenup before they get married, Where Is The Buzz reported. The couple, despite the scrutiny, has often defended their relationship.

According to the Guardian, Hunter did not want to touch the Heisman prize statue until he received it at the awarding ceremony held on December 14, 2024, and did not even touch it while posing with it for pictures before the award ceremony.
The Heisman Trophy is a prestigious award given to the top college football player. Travis Hunter won the award with 552 votes and 2,231 points, while Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty came in second with 309 votes and 2,017 points.
