Gracie Hunt is the daughter of Kansas City Chiefs Chairman and CEO Clark Hunt. She is an entrepreneur, philanthropist, and fashion influencer deeply immersed in the world of football. Born in 1999 to Clark and Tavia Hunt, Gracie was nurtured by the history of the NFL, with the Chiefs being a central part of her family upbringing.
Her grandfather, Lamar Hunt, was an instrumental figure in professional football history. Lamar founded the Dallas Texans in 1960, but the team moved to Kansas City and assumed the name Chiefs. He was also responsible for the formation of the American Football League (AFL) and the invention of the term 'Super Bowl.'
Gracie Hunt is the eldest of three children born to Kansas City Chiefs CEO Clark Hunt and his wife, Tavia Hunt. Known for her philanthropic work, entrepreneurial ventures, and passion for sports, Gracie has become a prominent figure both in and outside the Chiefs’ Kingdom.
Her younger brother, Knobel Hunt, studied at Southern Methodist University, while her younger sister, Ava Hunt, has been active in cheerleading and track at her high school in Texas.
Tavia Hunt, Gracie’s mother, is a former pageant winner, having been crowned Miss Missouri Teen USA in 1990 and Miss Kansas USA in 1993. Following in her mother’s footsteps, Gracie began her pageant career as Miss Texas Teen International in 2016 and 2018 and later earned the title of Miss Kansas USA in 2021. In a 2021 interview with People Magazine, Gracie Hunt credited her mother for her unwavering support:
“It’s really nice to get to walk down a road with someone who has been down that path before. It really has just bonded us so much.”
Before dedicating herself to football and philanthropy, Gracie Hunt was passionate about soccer. She played competitively, winning a high school championship and excelling in club soccer. However, after suffering four concussions, she had to step away from her soccer dreams.
“Soccer was my first love... After suffering four concussions, that was a dream I could no longer pursue... I had to find a new dream.”
That new dream became Breaking Barriers Through Sports, an organization Gracie founded in 2016 to inspire confidence through athletics.
Gracie Hunt graduated from Southern Methodist University with a degree in sports management and broadcast journalism and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in sports management at the University of Kansas.
Gracie also graced the cover of Maxim in March 2023, discussing her philanthropic efforts, athletic pursuits, and family legacy in an in-depth interview.
Gracie Hunt is a commonly seen face at the Chiefs games, where she is spotted cheering her team next to fans and press conferences. She has also taken up a role as an open face for the franchise, mixing her interests into one being sports, charity work, and fashion.
