Reactions to George Soros being presented with the Presidential Medal of Freedom
George Soros being presented with the nation's highest honors did not seem to have gone down well with many who did not hesitate to express their disapproval publicly.
Elon Musk, took to his X to share an old interview where he said that Soros 'fundamentally hates humanity' and wrote:
"A travesty that Biden is giving Soros the Medal of Freedom"
Musk backed that post up with a meme commenting on how old George Soros is. He wrote:
"George Soros looking quite good here. Must be the lighting."
Referring to George Soros as a "clown", Donald Trump Jr. shared the video of a 25-year-old pizza delivery guy rescuing children from a burning house and said:
"This guy deserves the presidential medal of freedom… Not the clowns like Soros and the others who got it from Biden this week."
Nikki Haley, a Republican and former Governor of South Carolina, echoed her disapproval by writing:
"Giving George Soros the Presidential Medal of Freedom is another slap in the face of America after reducing the sentences of murderers and pardoning his son. 16 days is a long time until the Inauguration. What is he capable of sliding in next? January 20th can’t come soon enough."
George Soros was among 19 other recipients of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, which included notable names like Lionel Messi, U2 lead singer Bono, Ralph Lauren, Hilary Clinton, and Micheal J Fox, among many others.
