Charles Smith, a 27-year-old TikToker known as Wolfie Kahletti online, was arrested over filming a social media post that saw him allegedly spraying pesticides on produce at a Mesa Walmart on Thursday, December 19, 2024.
Wolfie Kahletti, whose real name is Charles Smith, is known for his public “pranks” which he posts to his social media accounts. However, he took the prank too far after the self-proclaimed "Super Villain" filmed himself spraying insect killer at the food at the Mesa Walmart store, located at Stapley and Baseline roads on Thursday.
Following the backlash, Smith deleted the video and uploaded a video of him throwing out pounds of food, including fruits that he sprayed. However, the video triggered widespread backlash online, prompting a police investigation. Following Charles Smith, aka Wolfie Kahletti's arrest, Detective Richard Encinas, Mesa police public information officer, said:
"Through investigative means, and with assistance from the Tempe Police Department, detectives were able to identify Smith as the suspect. Mesa Police contacted Smith and he turned himself in voluntarily. During the interview, Smith admitted to the theft and spraying of the pesticide."
Smith was reportedly arrested on charges of introducing poison, criminal damage, endangerment and theft.

This is not the first time Charles Smith, aka Wolfie Kahletti’s videos have sparked outrage online. The TikToker, who describes himself as a supervillain, has amassed over 300,000 followers after he began posting “prank videos in April. He went viral in June 2024 for ‘pranks’ where he goes into restaurants to wreak havoc. In the video that went viral online, he threw a bag of ice into a deep fryer, leaving an employee at the restaurant kitchen stunned.
In another video, the influencer walked into a restaurant and slapped food out of a person’s hand before running out into the street. At the time, a social media user noted:
“So this is the latest “disruption” in our “free world” and it’s annoying at least, but at worst he’s gonna get himself hurt.”
The most recent video posted on Instagram showed Charles Smith, aka Wolfie Kahletti, locking customers inside a store. When a woman asked him to remove the lock, he replied:
“No. You guys are locked in there forever.”
His arrest over Walmart's bug spray stunt triggered a volley of comments online. A social media user said:
“Horrible. Spraying roach spray on vegetables in a Walmart is passed foul bro. U can kill someone.”
Another added:
“Modern-day psychopaths are getting attention on social media and no one is taking it seriously.”
Another netizen noted:
“Food contamination is illegal and I wouldn’t be surprised if you got an attempted murder charge. You’re literally poisoning food. I can see prison in your future.”
Following the latest “prank” where he bug sprayed Walmart produce, the store confirmed contaminated food was removed and the affected areas are being cleaned and sanitized.
