Carl Higbie, a former Navy Seal and Newsmax host, recently stirred up the internet while discussing deportations. During a segment on his Newsmax show, Higbie began eating a taco while discussing deportations of illegal immigrants.

During a segment, Higbie played a clip in which an individual stated:

"No tacos, no enchiladas, none of that for you."

In response, Carl Higbie took a bite of a taco on air, saying:

"Oh yeah," before continuing with his mouth full, "What are you going to do? Will you come take it out of my hand? Imma eat half this plate during the break. Maybe I'll call the ICE hotline, I don't know if I have enough time."

Carl Higbie praised the taco’s taste before shifting to a more serious tone about immigration.

Who is Carl Higbie?

Carl Higbie is a former Navy SEAL, conservative commentator, and political operative. After the 9/11 attacks, he pursued a military career and served as a Navy SEAL, completing multiple deployments to combat zones in the Middle East.

Following his military service, he transitioned into politics and media, running for Congress in Connecticut in 2014 and becoming a vocal conservative commentator. Higbie has studied at the Sacred Heart University. According to his LinkedIn, he began working at Newsmax in 2020.

Higbie later served as the Chief of External Affairs at the Corporation for National & Community Service (CNCS), a federal agency that oversees programs like AmeriCorps and Senior Corps.

However, he resigned in 2018 after CNN’s KFile revealed past controversial comments he made about Black Americans, Muslims, women, LGBTQ+ individuals, veterans with PTSD, and immigrants. On different occasions in 2013, Carl Higbie went on air with inflammatory comments like:

“Somebody who lives in my condo association that has five kids, and it’s her and her husband with the five kids and the mother, the grandmother of the kids, and they don’t have jobs, they’re there all the time – I bet you can guess what color they are – and they have no job.”
“An urban area, you mean the ghe**o?”
“You cross my border, I will shoot you in the face.”

In response in 2018, Higbie was reported to have expressed regret for his remarks but emphasized that they did not represent who he is. He wrote:

"I’m sorry. I’m not sorry that my words were published, I am sorry that I said them in 2013. Those words do not reflect who I am or what I stand for, I regret saying them. Last night I informed the WH that I was resigning so as not to distract from POTUS’ many success.#noexcuses"

Higbie remains active in conservative media and business, including owning Tarzan Tree Service in Virginia Beach. He has also authored books, including Battle on the Homefront, calling for political and social action in America.
