Belichick, a father of three, was married to Debby Clarke from 1977 to 2006. Bill and Debby were reportedly childhood sweethearts, and both attended Wesleyan University. Debby maintained a rather low profile during her marriage to Bill and after the divorce. His kids, however, followed their father’s footsteps to make their careers in sports.

Belichick’s older son, Stephen, attended Rutgers University and played Lacrosse and Football. He later joined his father at the Patriots as an assistant coach and, in the later years, served as safeties and outside linebackers coach. Ultimately, Stephen left the Patriots like his father and was hired as a defensive coordinator at the University of Washington. He is currently a defensive coordinator at the University of North Carolina, where his father is the head football coach.

Brian, Belichick's youngest child, played Lacrosse in his college years and started his coaching career in 2016. He initially joined the New England Patriots as a staff member for the role of scouting assistant. In the next few years, he was promoted to coaching assistant and safeties coach. Unlike his brother and father, Brian is still a part of New England’s coaching team.
