A 37-year-old San Antonio woman, Audrey Marie Schneider, was identified as the alleged inebriated suspect arrested over leading Texas state troopers in a high-speed chase after fleeing from a traffic stop on Thursday, November 14, 2024. The incident was caught on video, which went viral on Friday, triggering a barrage of hilarious reactions online.
Audrey Marie Schneider was accused of Driving while intoxicated and allegedly assaulting a police officer at the time of the arrest. Besides the DWI, Schneider potentially faces a long list of charges. This is reportedly not her first offense, according to KSAT.
Schneider was reportedly charged in connection to obstruction of a highway while intoxicated in 2017, but the charges were dismissed after she was granted deferred adjudication.
Deferred adjudication is described as probation where a person charged with a crime is proffered the opportunity to accept responsibility and prove to the judge they have changed their ways so the charges would reflect on the record.
According to her LinkedIn and Facebook profile, Schneider, who graduated from Texas A&M University in 2010, works in public relations. Her current employment was listed as a patient care coordinator at a health care system in San Antonio, Texas.

According to multiple reports on Thursday afternoon, Schneider fled a traffic stop after a Texas trooper attempted to stop her over on Interstate 35 in Comal County. During the police pursuit, Schneider sped up, resulting in what authorities described as a “high speed” chase through Comal and Bexar Counties.
An official statement, cited by San Antonio News, said during the chase, Schneider struck several vehicles, including the Trooper’s unit. However, no one was injured.
The chase ended after Schneider finally pulled up in front of a salon by JC at the Alamo Quarry Market and entered the salon. When a DPS trooper attempted to arrest the suspect she allegedly “assaulted” the officer who was uninjured during the incident.
The viral video of the high-speed chase circulating on X showed Audrey Marie Schneider smiling and holding a beverage inside her car while being pursued by the police. Another video showed Schneider smiling from ear to ear while being taken into police custody.
The clip, shared by X user Collin Rugg, has been viewed over one million times. The incident sparked hilarious reactions online. Reacting to the clip:
