Alex Basara, a die-hard Green Bay Packers fan, has found himself at the center of attention after a viral video surfaced showing an Eagles fan verbally harassing his fiancée, Ally Keller, during a wild-card game between the Packers and the Eagles.

Basara set up a GoFundMe for attending the Eagles vs Green Bay Packers playoff game in Philadelphia. Since then, Basara raised $586 before closing the GoFundMe.

The incident sparked widespread attention during a Sunday wild-card match between the Packers and the Eagles, where Alex Basara and Ally Keller were enjoying the game.

According to the couple, the atmosphere started off friendly, with the Eagles fans around them offering light-hearted jabs. However, things took a turn when the Eagles fan, identified as Ryan Caldwell, began to escalate his insults.

Basara and Keller recounted that, as the Eagles extended their lead, the fan’s behavior grew more hostile. The breaking point came when the fan asked Basara if he was enjoying the game, to which Basara replied, 'Not too great.' That’s when the fan allegedly told them they had 'terrible attitudes.'

From there, the harassment became more intense, culminating in Caldwell calling Keller a 'dumb c–t' on camera.

Alex Basara shared a video of the incident on his X and wrote:

"What it's like going to Philly just trying to root for your team... Unprovoked, uncalled for. Packers twitter, help me out and find this guy.... this is not okay. I hate that my fiancé had this happen simply cheering for her team"

The incident, which took place at Lincoln Financial Field, has sparked outrage across social media and led Basara to launch a GoFundMe campaign to attend the upcoming Wild Card Game, calling on fans to support his mission to 'go into the belly of the beast.'

Alex Basara's GoFundMe campaign

Alex Basara set up a GoFundMe campaign to raise money for his trip to Philadelphia, where the Green Bay Packers were set to face the Eagles in the playoffs.

Basara, a lifelong Packers fan from Chester County, Pennsylvania, has attended multiple games in Philadelphia, often facing a hostile environment as he proudly supports his team.

Despite previous incidents where he’s been verbally abused and had his Packers gear destroyed by Eagles fans, Basara is determined to continue his tradition of attending games in hostile territory and cheering on the Packers.

In his GoFundMe message, Basara asks for support from his viewers, explaining that if 600 of his followers donated just $1 each, he would be able to attend the game and represent the Packers. The campaign raised $586 before it was closed, and Basara expressed gratitude for the support he received from fellow fans.
