Henry County police released a BOLO alert seeking public help to locate Rodney Freeman, a 56-year-old Navy Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps instructor. Rodney Freeman was last seen reportedly on December 17, Tuesday, around 2:30 pm at his house on Saffron Lane, McDonough.
The Henry County police posted a BOLO post on their official social media handles for Rodney Freeman, a retired marine, but were unable to provide any info on the type of clothing Freeman had on, which may make it difficult for the public to ID him. However, the police have released a photo of the Freeman.
The authorities have asked the public to contact the Henry County police at 770-957-9121 (Non-Emergency Dispatch) or Detective R. Nelson at 770-288-7613. The public can also text the police with tips, photos, and videos at 770-220-7009.
Unfortunately, there has been no information on the circumstances that led to Freeman's disappearance. At the time of writing this article, there are no updates or reported sightings of him. The public is encouraged to share as much information as possible with the police and spread the news of his disappearance within and beyond where Freeman was last seen.
Friends of Rodney Freeman also shared posts seeking help from the public
Many of Freeman's friends and colleagues also took to social media to spread the message of his disappearance and sought the public's help to find him. James Smiley, who appears to be a former colleague of Freeman when he served at II Marine Expeditionary Force, posted:
This news deeply saddened me! I recently came across this post on a Marine Corps Veterans Facebook Group and Rodney Freeman’s page. Rodney Freeman is one of my closest friends. We were Drill Instructors together, Warrant Officers together, served side by side at II Marine Expeditionary Force, and both retired from the same command. I humbly request that you spread this message widely across your network. Rodney is a great man!
Another person, Courtney Bon, also shared the Henry County Police BOLO(Be on Lookout) post, asking acquaintances for help to locate him. The post reads as follows:
This was Abbi’s NJROTC instructor. Please share to help find him and pray for his safe return. We love him!
Freeman's friends, ex-colleagues, and community members are all praying for his safe return and are actively trying to spread the message to a wider community.
