A 17-year-old girl from Henderson, Nevada, recently went missing following a dispute at home. Jennaleah Hin, a Foothill High School senior, was reported missing on December 30, 2024.
Since the missing complaint was filed, the Henderson Police Department, with the help of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and Red Rock Search & Rescue, carried out search and rescue operations.
However, according to the Henderson Police Department, on Sunday, authorities identified a body that they believed belonged to Jennaleah Hin. The authorities recovered the body from the desert area near Desert Sunflower Circle. The Henderson Police Department has not yet revealed the cause of death, but they believe there were no signs of foul play.

As per the Henderson Police Department, Jennaleah Hin was last seen on Monday, December 30, 2024, leaving her house around 8:46 p.m. following a dispute at home. Home security camera footage revealed that she left wearing a black sweatshirt and without a backpack, water, or her phone.
"It's just a normal family dispute, you know, that teenagers have with their parents. Nothing out of the ordinary," Mark Speer, Red Rock Search & Rescue commander said.
The K-9 unit, along with the Drug Enforcement Agency and school district officers, were assisting in the search operation, which was carried out with the help of drones, helicopters, and horses.
Several volunteers from the Henderson community, as well as Foothill High School students, also assisted in the search operation. Jennaleah Hin's sudden disappearance shook her friends and family as they claimed it was out of her character.
"She's planning on going to nursing school...She's on course to graduate top of her class. She's going places in life. So this is out of character," Donna Oliva, a family friend, stated.
On Friday, before Jeenaleah's body was found, her mother, Jennifer Swanson, pleaded in a press conference,
"Jenna, wherever you are or whoever you're with, I just want you to come home. I want you safe. We love you so much, please come home."
Numerous law enforcement officers and volunteers from across the Las Vegas Valley carried out a 10-mile search in the wilderness throughout the weekend after a K-9 officer found Jennaleah's scent near the south of the boundaries of the valley.
Ultimately, on Sunday morning the Henderson Police Department found the body of a teen girl, matching the description of Jennaleah Hin. The police did not provide any other information regarding the cause of death; however, they informed that the Clark County coroner's office would soon release the name and cause of death of the teenager.
