Details in Connor Young's disappearance explored
Crandall police explained to NBC why the amber alert was issued three months after Connor Young was last seen. Authorities said on October 30, 2024, they received a call from a concerned AT&T employee, stating Dorcas Young texted concerning messages regarding her mental health.
Police revealed when they arrived at her Heartland home, they found the house empty. Authorities said they tracked her last known location to the area of Park Lane and North Central Expressway in Dallas after “pinging” her phone.
Crandall police said on Saturday, November 2, Dorcas Young's black 2023 GMC Yukon was located at a hotel in Dallas. They revealed the same day, Dorcas Young's 24-year-old daughter filed a missing persons report on her mother and two siblings, aged 19 and 12. Shortly after, authorities issued an amber alert for Connor, last seen on July 4. It is unknown if Dorcas Young is Connor's legal guardian. The circumstances behind his disappearance are also unclear.
Crandall police said on Saturday night that Dorcas Young's black 2023 GMC Yukon was found at a hotel in Dallas. However, Connor and the other sibling were not in the vehicle. Police are still working on finding Dorcas and her two children.
