Hallandale Beach Police are asking for public assistance to locate the missing South Florida man, Chaim Haberfeld. According to WSVN Miami, Haberfeld was reported missing from Hallandale Beach.
A community member Eran Hazan, via Facebook post, revealed that while Haberfeld has been missing since October 23, 2024, the missing person's report was filed on October 26, 2024.
The 36-year-old was last seen near the 900 block of Northeast Second Street, at around 7 p.m. on Tuesday October 22 in Hallandale Beach. Authorities said he was wearing a black long-sleeve shirt and gray pants at the time of his disappearance. The circumstances surrounding his disappearance were undisclosed. However, police warned he may have been targeted by criminals.
As of October 27, he remains missing according to several concerned community members, who took to Facebook to implore for information regarding Haberfeld's whereabouts.
According to authorities cited in WSVN, Chaim Haberfeld was described as 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighing around 145 pounds, with slender build, brown hair and brown eyes.
Community members issue plea for help in wake of Chaim Haberfeld's disappearance
In the wake of Chaim Haberfeld’s disappearance, community members have expressed concern for his safety. Several community members took to Facebook and beseeched other social media users to amplify the message of his disappearance in hopes that it would generate a lead to his whereabouts.
Facebook Group Great Kosher Restaurants Foodies, with over 16,000 followers, revealed Chaim Haberfeld is a member, before asking for the public’s help in finding the missing person. The group said Haberfeld is a South Florida native and added:
“I can't go into specific details of what's going on and why he's missing but this is real and police and investigators are helping find him. I ask that you all pray and daven for Chaim Ben Chana. if you see him, please call 911 immediately.”
Meanwhile, another community member stressed the graveness of the situation and said:
“I’ve been told that this has been reported to the police and is very very serious. Lots of us know and love Chaim, if anyone has any info please do whatever the poster says. This is very shocking, please daven and learn in his zchut and God willing he will be found safe and sound!”
The Facebook group Great Kosher Restaurants Foodies cited the police and said, “The last known vehicle associated with Haberfeld is a red 2025 Lexus NX250 with the Florida license plate BQ35RK.”
