36-year-old, Zachary Zulock, and 34-year-old, William Zulock, a gay couple from Georgia have been sentenced to 100 years each without the possibility for parole for s*xually abusing their two adopted sons with special needs.
As shared by Townhall News Outlet, in 2019, William Zulock shared a celebratory one-year adoption post on what seems to be his now-deleted Instagram handle. According to the New York Times, the couple adopted the boys, currently aged 12, and 10, around 2018 from a Christian special-needs adoption agency, All God's Children Inc.
On July 27, 2022, authorities searched Oxford, a wealthy Atlanta suburb following a tip regarding a person suspected of downloading child s*xual ab*se material. Authorities then confirmed that they identified Zachary Zulock, and William Zulock, as the people accused of committing s*xual ab*se, and recording the acts on video.
According to Townhall, William was a DMV employee, and Zachary Zulock was a retail banker.
More about William and Zachary Zulock's sentencing
According to the New York Times, the couple pleaded guilty to charges including aggravated child m*l*station, aggravated sodomy, and s*xual exploitation of children.
District Attorney, Randy McGinley, said:
“These two Defendants truly created a house of horrors and put their extremely dark desires above everything and everyone else.”
“However, the depth of the Defendants’ depravity, which is as deep as it gets, is not greater than the resolve of those that fought for justice and the strength of the victims in this case. The resolve I have seen from these two young victims over the last two years is truly inspiring,” McGingley added.
According to an old article by Townhall, both partners have been facing a tough time in jail as child r*pists. Zachary Zulock was placed in the 'maximum' security unit of the Barrow County Detention Center due to the severity of his charges.
According to the media outlet, inmates in such facilities typically follow an 'honor code' that targets those accused of harming children, such as child m*l*sters, with what is known as 'jail justice.'
Zachary, fearing for his safety, reported in an October 2022 jailhouse call that he suspected a fellow inmate had spiked his drink, causing numbness and stroke-like symptoms. Despite his fears, he was told by his lawyer that this wouldn't help him secure bail, and he continued to push for a bond, even requesting an ankle monitor.
Meanwhile, his partner, William Dale Zulock, was facing dietary challenges in Walton County Jail, complaining about the food and the poor conditions of the facility. William, who is lactose intolerant, struggled with the meals provided, expressing frustration with the low-quality food and the state of the jail.
