The social media app TikTok was recently banned in the US, and a new website named TikTok Graveyard has been created to honor the users' time they spent on the application. While the platform is back online, users still seemingly enjoyed checking how much time they spent scrolling it. The website uses fun statistics to give TikTokers their personalized tombstone (a digital one). It also shows how the platform impacted their lives.

TikTok Graveyard is similar to Spotify Wrapped. However, it shows users' summarized activity from 2016 to 2025. The website uses users' data to share some facts about them related to the platform.

This included the number of videos they watched, hours "lost forever," their best friend on the application, and the number of videos they liked.

The platform has had a huge impact on its users and initiated many worldwide trends throughout its run in America. TikTok Graveyard's tombstone also featured some quirky quotes, such as, "They almost quit their job to go full influencer," "They went viral once," and "They watched 'one more video' for five hours straight."

Users share their stories from TikTok Graveyard

Several users shared their tombstones on X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, and Instagram and related to each other through funny statistics. Many spent thousands of hours scrolling videos, and some also watched millions of videos on the platform.

A TikTok user shared their tombstone on X and wrote:

"Here lies me. Where I started and now back to nothing. RIP TikTok."

Another called the tombstone the postmortem of the application. A third one wrote,

"Got my little TikTok gravestone and I'm actually kinda sad."

For the unversed, TikTok got banned in the US on January 19, 2025, ahead of President-elect Donald Trump taking over the seat.

The legal battle to whether to ban the application or not went on for months before the US Supreme Court upheld a law to ban the video-sharing platform in the name of national security. However, the law gave a chance to the application to reach a deal with non-Chinese buyers.

TikTokers received a message that said the application has now been banned.

"A law banning TikTok has been enacted in the US. Unfortunately, that means you can't use TikTok for now. We are fortunate that President Trump has indicated that he will work with us on a solution to reinstate TikTok once he takes office."

The application further asked its users to stay tuned for more updates hoping that the platform will function again in the US. However, almost 12 hours after the ban was initiated, TikTok restored its services in the U.S. according to CNN.

Trump, after taking over the office of US President, passed an executive that allowed the application to continue working in the country. However, many Apple and Android users are unable to find the application in their stores. These companies need proper clearance to make the previously banned application available in their stores once again.
