The suspect in Sabina Rosas' murder was recently found dead due to an apparent suicide at his home. Identified as 56-year-old Thomas Gannon, the man was suspected of killing the 33-year-old New York City artist at a posh Hamptons spa and resort. He allegedly died from a gunshot wound at his home. It is believed that he shot himself.

Sabina Rosas was found brutally murdered by a staff member in the guest room of a swanky Shou Sugi Ban House in Water Mill on Monday. About 214 miles from the resort, Gannon's body was found at his home in Honesdale, Pennsylvania, per the Suffolk County Police Department.

While several details about the death of the two are yet to be revealed, police said that they were in a "domestic" relationship, per the New York Post. Moreover, it is also unclear what the two were doing at the $1,000 pr-night spa, which is a beloved location for celebrities.

Per the reports, it is believed that Rosas was brutally murdered after a violent scene. Following her death in the spa, the police were looking for a suspect who checked into the resort with the late artist and left alone.

Sabina Rosas, who also went by Sabina Khorramdel, lived a nomadic life according to her social media presence. It is also believed that she was engaged to a different man.

Sabina Rosas's family is "devastated" after losing their "beloved daughter, sister, fiancee and friend."

Per NBC4, the family released a statement after Thomas Gannon was found dead on Wednesday. They said,

"As the eldest of three daughters, Sabina brought excitement, adventure, joy and love to our family."
"Your support during this challenging time is a testament to just how special Sabina was and will remain," the family added.

Sabina was the founder of Ruyo Journal, a publication that reports central Asian art. After her death, the publication paid a heartfelt tribute to her.

"We are deeply heartbroken to share that our dear colleague and founder of RUYO Journal, Sabina Khorramdel, has left this world. Driven by her incredible energy and vision, Sabina moved walls so that gardens could flourish, inviting everyone seeking light. She shared everything she had and supported all of us. A beautiful soul and a gifted artist, she left an impactful legacy in the arts of Central Asia. The world feels empty without her. We love you, Sabina. Rest in peace," read the caption.
