It's good news for Alex Bruesewitz's followers, who've been praying for his health and recovery after his sudden collapse at the New York Young Republicans Club Gala on December 15.

Bruesewitz has shared an update on his social media following the incident and though it doesn't provide much detail into what caused his fall, it is every bit hilarious.

In a post shared on his X, Alex Bruesewitz seemed to have taken the whole thing with a pinch of salt:

"We are back. What a surreal experience. Maybe I took my Joe Biden impression just a little too far."

He then took the opportunity to thank everyone at the NYYRC Gala who helped him with a special mention to Repub Congressman Andy Ogles, who was there with him till the medics took him to the ER.

He also thanked people for their 'heartfelt, thoughtful, encouraging messages' before jokingly apologizing to incoming deputy White House Chief of Staff, Dan Scavino, whose introduction at the NYYRC Gala changed to a phone call that he made to Donald Trump to inform him about Alex Bruesewitz's health. While addressing Dan Scavino, Bruesewitz wrote in his post:

"(P.S. @danscavino, my bad for ruining your introduction. I assure you, the rest of my speech was going to be great!)"

What happened to Alex Bruesewitz?

On Sunday, December 15, 2024, during the 112th New York Young Republicans Club Gala at Cipriani Wall Street, political strategist Alex Bruesewitz, 27, collapsed while introducing incoming White House Deputy Chief of Staff Dan Scavino.

Initially delivering his speech without issue, Bruesewitz began to slur his words, stating, "I'm forgetting my words," before collapsing and bringing down the reading desk with him. The audience reacted with gasps as several attendees rushed to assist him.

A prominent adviser to President-elect Donald Trump, Bruesewitz was promptly attended to and is reportedly recovering well following the fainting spell.

Right after Bruesewitz's fall, Dan Scavino got on stage and took President-elect Donald Trump on speaker to inform him of the incident that had taken place. Trump replied with:

"I know Alex is going to be fine because he is a tough son of a gun. There's no doubt about that. So I want to say hello to Alex, because he’s a very special guy."

The New York Young Republicans Club, known for its influential role in conservative politics, hosted the event, which featured speeches from key figures, including club President Gavin Wax, Nigel Farage, Dan Scavino, Steve Bannon, and Corey Lewandowski.
