YouTube star Jimmy Donaldson, popularly known as Mr Beast, was recently criticized for one of his statements regarding the house used as Walter White's home in the award-winning series Breaking Bad. While the YouTuber has now deleted the post, criticism around it continues on the internet. However, what did Jimmy say that brought him under fire?
The popular series went off the television after its intriguing ending more than 11 years ago. However, fans never stopped traveling all the way to Alberqueue, New Mexico, just to visit the places where the show was filmed. Without any doubt, the house of Walter White, played by Bryan Cranston, has been their top priority.
Over the years, the house has had so many visitors that its current owners had to install a fence to keep the visitors away. Now, as the owners are set to sell the house, it has been priced at $4 million. As the news of the house's price was out, an X (formerly Twitter) account named Dexerto shared it on the social media platform. In a few minutes, Mr Beast reacted to the post and left a comment that read,
"First person to make a Meth Lab in the garage wins this house."
For the unversed, the lead character of the show, Walter White, ran an illegal meth lab and its consequences were not good.
While Mr Beast deleted his comment, netizens were quick enough to pick up on that and criticize him.
Netizens react to Mr Beast's comment on the Breaking Bad house post
Netizens have been widely reacting to Mr Beast's comment about the Breaking Bad house. Some of them pointed out that the YouTuber indicated another challenge with his comment.
"Following the listing of Walter White's house for sale, MrBeast has initiated a challenge where participants are tasked with setting up a meth lab in the garage to win the house, which is priced at $4 million," wrote an X user.
Another one mentioned that the YouTuber should not have joked about drugs.
"@MrBeast encourages people to start a meth lab……… The lowest of low this guys goes! Your a stain on society that covers his twisted operations with donations."
One also penned,
"MrBeast will likely be responsible if someone is retarded enough to do this."
The YouTuber has not addressed this controversy yet. However, he is active on social media and posts regularly. Fans are also defending Jimmy saying that his joke went wrong.
