A North Carolina McDonald's employee named Kevin Holland has been cuffed in relation to the shooting of a DoorDash driver on Friday. Reportedly, the Fayetteville police have revealed that the driver was picking up an order at the time.
The incident took place at a McDonald's on 5009 Santa Fe Drive, and the delivery driver has since been identified as 25-year-old Samori Husamudeen. Reportedly, he was fatally shot at the outlet after getting into an argument with Holland. The latter allegedly whipped out a gun and opened fire, leaving Husamudeen dead on the spot.

WFLA has reported that following the crime, Kevin Holland absconded, only to be located 17 hours later. He was found at about 1 p.m. on Friday near a Walmart, prompting the Spring Lake Police Department to arrest him. At the time, he was considered to be armed and dangerous.
Holland has been charged with first-degree murder and is currently being detained at the Cumberland County Detention Center without bond. Investigations into the same remain ongoing, though at the time of writing, specific details like what triggered the altercation remain unclear.
Per WRAL, Tajhai Black, Husamudeen's partner and the mother of his child, has revealed that the police have yet to give her more information as well. Speaking about the departed, she referred to him as "the love of my life, my high school sweetheart," noting that he was a family man.
"He makes friends wherever he goes. He can light up a room or talk to anybody in any room he goes into," Black said. "He didn't deserve that. He didn't do nothing to nobody."
She also claimed to know nothing of who Kevin Holland was and what could have happened between him and Husamudeen:
"What happened should not have happened at all," Black said. "A whole family is destroyed from one senseless act for no reason."
A spokesperson for DoorDash issued the following statement to ABC11:
"We are devastated by this tragic loss and our hearts are with Mr. Husamudeen's loved ones. This was a horrible and tragic crime, and we stand ready to assist law enforcement in bringing the individual responsible to justice."
The owner/operator of the McDonald's in question, where the incident took place, per the outlet, said in a statement:
"Yesterday's tragic events are shocking and upsetting to our entire team. We are supporting our crew with counseling resources and fully cooperating with local law enforcement."
