Their statement read,

"Our hearts go out to those who were injured in the incident that occurred last night as well as their families. We look forward to the safety improvements to Chippewa which the city plans to begin next month. Huge thank you to the customers who stepped up to help and the first responders on the scene. Their quick actions prevented this sad incident from becoming much worse."

The St. Louis Mayor's Office is all set to make some road safety improvements around Chippewa Street. In an interview with the news portal, Rasmus Jorgensen, the deputy director of communications for the office, confirmed that the improvements will take place between January and March 2025 as it is an offseason for the custard stand.

There are several road safety solutions that the office will be checklisting during the improvement.
