Missing Domino's delivery partner Shue Xiong reportedly died by suicide on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. Shue was first reported missing on January 14, after he failed to make his deliveries and did not return to his home. Upon investigation, the police confirmed Shue was last seen at the Richfield Target outlet on the day of his disappearance. Later on Sunday, January 19, investigators found Shue's vehicle abandoned in Superior, Wisconsin, with no trace of him.
The Apple Valley Police Department had stated in an earlier statement:
"Investigators now believe that Mr. Xiong might be experiencing a mental health crisis," adding: "Given the cold temperatures and uncharacteristic behavior, investigators are counting to follow up on any leads, as it is critical he is located and provided care."

After getting an emergency call on Tuesday, January 21, the St. Paul Police Department responded to a local residence. The caller, identified as the late delivery partner's family member, told the police that Shue had been experiencing mental health crisis. As per reports, Shue had access to firearms and threatened to take his own life. The officers instructed the family members to vacate the residence in order to avoid any accident and made efforts to get Shue out of the building so that they could provide him with help. However, Shue ran out of the building and around the Geranium Avenue before he died by suicide.
Thanking everyone who helped in the search operation, the Apple Valley Police Department said in a recent statement:
"We are saddened to learn of Mr. Xiong's suicide in Saint Paul. We extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and the Hmong community."
Shue's family confirmed his death on the GoFundMe campaign page, which was initially set up to fund search efforts. Their post read:
"Shue was a cherished son, brother, and friend who brought so much love and joy into our lives. He may have been battling a mental health crisis, and despite all our hopes and efforts, we lost him. Our hearts are shattered, and the pain is immeasurable."
The campaign has raised $9,607 of its $13,000 target so far. The funds will help bear Shue's funeral costs and other expenses, with any leftover amount going to charity. The post added:
"In the Hmong culture, funerals are deeply significant, lasting three days and involving important ceremonies and meals that honor the deceased and bring the community together. These events require extensive preparation and resources to ensure they are done properly."
The Xiong family took to social media to express gratitude to everyone who helped during the search operation and contributed to support the family. They wrote:
"We want to extend our deepest gratitude to all who have shown us love and support during this incredibly difficult time. To our family, friends, and even those we have never met who reached out to check on us, offered kind words, or simply held us in their thoughts — thank you," and added: "We are especially grateful to the authorities in Apple Valley, Richfield, Golden Valley, Superior, and Saint Paul. Your dedication, compassion, and hard work throughout this case have brought us some peace amidst this tragedy. We will always remember your care and commitment."
