Morgan Manning House, a historical site in Brockport, New York, was recently hit with a tragedy. The luxurious mansion was recently engulfed in fire. While the fire damaged the mansion's second floor, it is not the first time the house has faced such an issue. The first time it was on fire, Sara Manning Morgan had died.

According to the official website of the house, it was built in 1854 by John Ostrom. However, when Ostrom died in 1862, his daughter sold the house to James Guild from Pennsylvania two years later.

Guild then rented the house to Dayton Samuel Morgan and his wife Susan Joslyn Morgan. As the Morgans lived in the house for three years, they finally bought it in 1867.

The house remained in the Morgan family until 1964. A fire almost destroyed it completely in 1964. Sara Morgan Manning, the daughter of Dayton and Susan, survived the deadly fire but passed away the next day. Sara is the reason the house is a historical site.

In her will, she mentioned that she wanted her home to

"stand forever as a monument to the fine old traditions that are so important to our heritage."

The house was later restored and became an iconic historical site in the village of Brockport.
