Ana Orsini, a morning news anchor at KOLD-13, a CBS affiliate local news station in Tucson, passed away unexpectedly last week. The news of her passing was announced by her colleagues from KOLD-13 on December 16.
At the time the cause of her death was unknown to the public, but on December 17, 2024, a colleague of Orsini informed that the 28-year-old passed away due to a brain aneurysm.
Her colleague and news anchor for KLOD-13 shared via a Facebook post that,
We now know that Ana Orsini TV died of a brain aneurysm. It's so horrible, so sudden (...) Her genuine care for everyone around her will be missed.
Who is Ana Orsini?
Ana Orsini, who graduated with a degree in journalism and a double minor in communication and sports management from Texas A&M University, started her career in media in 2018 from Lubbock, Texas.
According to her biography shared by KOLD-13, while working in Texas she hosted a segment called 'Pet of the Day' which was reportedly popular in Texas and was described as the highlight of her Texas career. While in Texas she also reported on other topics like an " investigative series on a bridal shop scam".
They further mention that she later moved to Medford as a Morning /Midday anchor and covered a wide range of topics from "major wildfires to helping shelter pets find their forever homes".
Ana joined KOLD-13 in June 2023 and had been continuing there till her untimely death. KOLD-13 has also posted their favorite moments of Ana on the official website. Ana's colleagues and everyone who knew her were shocked by her unexpected passing and many also took to social media to share their condolences and recall fond memories with Ana.
Ana's friends and colleagues describe her as a kind person who cares about the people around her. Carsyn Currier a colleague and fellow news anchor of Ana Orsini shared on her Facebook post that,
Ana was not only beautiful, talented, and hilarious, but she was unlike anyone I’ve ever met. To know Ana was to LOVE her. She made everyone around her feel so special, heard and understood (...)She was an advocate for animals, women’s rights, and one heck of a friend. Time may pass, but my memories of Ana will never fade. I love you forever, Ana.
