Adan Manzano, a sports reporter from Kansas City, recently lost his life in New Orleans. Manzano traveled to New Orleans to cover the Super Bowl. However, ahead of the big game, he was found dead in his hotel room on February 6. He was 27. Following his shocking death, his family is raising funds to cover his funeral cost and aiming to bid their child a farewell he deserved.

Manzano worked as a sports anchor for KGKC Telemundo Kansas City and Tico Sports. His wife died last year, and he has now left behind his two-year-old daughter, who is currently under his family's care.

According to USA Today, in connection with Adan Manzano's death, Kenner police have arrested a 48-year-old woman named Danette Colbert. As per the police, Colbert has been charged with property crimes, fraud, and theft-related offenses. However, she might face more charges once a toxicology report comes, which will allegedly take weeks.

Seeing the available evidence, police have found a possibility that Manzano was drugged before his death. Several people have come forward claiming they have been victims of Colbert in the past. She has also been previously arrested over allegations involving robbing and drugging.

Adan Manzano's family is seeking funds for his funeral. On an emotional note, his family announced his passing and mentioned how they were left devastated. They wrote,

"It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Adan Manzano Aguilar. His sudden departure has left our family devastated, and we are now faced with the difficult task of making funeral arrangements to honor his life and legacy."

They continued,

"Adan was a kind, loving, and hardworking person who touched the lives of many with his warmth and generosity. He was a dedicated sports reporter and a true fanatic at heart. His passion for sports and storytelling connected people from Kansas City all the way to his home in Mexico. Through his work, he brought communities together, sharing the excitement, emotion, and love for sports that he held so dearly."

The reporter's family asked for help to give him afuneral he dereves and provide support by adding,

"As we navigate this painful time, we want to give Adan the farewell he deserves, but we need your support to make it possible. We are humbly asking for donations to help cover funeral expenses and provide our family with the means to say goodbye properly."

So far, out of a target of $25,000, his family has raised $6,466.
