Dynus Saxon, a 20-year-old Vogue model, was arrested and charged with murder and other crimes in connection to the death of a 35-year-old man, father of one, Kadeem Grant, according to the NYPD.
Grant was found inside the entrance of an apartment building at 384 Grand Concourse on Sunday. He was stabbed on his chest, hands, and feet.
According to the NYPD, "A knife was discovered near the victim’s body as well as a trail of blood down the front steps of the Mott Haven building."
Grant was the father of a three-year-old girl, reportedly living in Brooklyn. According to his father, Christopher, Grant was visiting a friend in the Bronx at the time of his murder. The police declared Grant dead at the scene.

A neighbor told the New York Daily News that on Sunday, November 10, she heard fighting in the hallway and called 911; however, she was late.
"I heard them fighting. No words, just (banging) in the hallway. It was fast. It wasn't like they were fighting for a long time," she said.
Saxon was taken into custody on Monday and was arrested. He was then hospitalized for evaluation of minor injuries and may still be under observation as of Tuesday evening, the police told The Post.
Grant’s father, Christopher, remembered him as "a loving kid who was there for his family and his daughter. It's just so sad that she has to grow up without a father." He further added, “He cared for people, looking after his grandma because most of us are not there in New York. Kadeem was a kid; you needed him, and he was there for you. I'm still trying to process it. Until I see him, I won't believe it," he said.
Saxon was a model who appeared on the cover of Vogue Italia and modeled for well-known brands including JD Sports, Calvin Klein, and Levi’s. Saxon was recently seen on the red carpet for the premieres of “Deadpool & Wolverine” and “The Batman.”
"Saxon is being charged with murder in the second degree, manslaughter in the first degree, and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree," according to the NYPD.
Saxon’s mother claimed she did not know Grant and believes there is more to the story.
"I don't know what happened, but I can tell y'all based on what I do know that it's not going to be as simple as you want to make it. Dynus didn't just decide to murder somebody," the mother said, adding that her son does not remember what happened.
She further said,
"Dynus will protect himself; he's a human being; you know what I'm saying. He's young. I don't know what kind of situation he got himself into," claiming, “Whatever happened, it was not murder," she added.
