Donald Trump has once again made headlines. At a campaign rally in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, on October 19, 2024, Donald Trump made unexpected comments about the late golf legend Arnold Palmer.

The rally's location at Arnold Palmer Regional Airport highlighted the golfer's legacy. Donald Trump devoted 12 minutes of his speech to praising the golfing icon.

He reminisced about Arnold Palmer's legacy, imagining how lively the event might have been if Palmer, who passed away in 2016, were still around to join him on stage.

As Trump was talking about Palmer's accomplishments and connection to the late player, he also mentioned an odd story about Arnold Palmer's private parts that attracted much attention.

While praising Arnold for 'being a man', he stressed Palmer’s toughness and strength, portraying him as the epitome of a powerful figure. He then went on to comment on the size of Arnold Palmer's penis,

“When he took the showers with other pros, they came out of there. They said, ‘Oh my God. That’s unbelievable'... I had to say. We have women that are highly sophisticated here, but they used to look at Arnold as a man.”

What else was said about Arnold Palmer?

Trump started his speech by expressing how much he loves Latrobe because it’s where his friend Arnold Palmer was from. He reflected on Palmer’s modest beginnings, mentioning that he "started off very poor."

Trump then praised Palmer’s athletic abilities, explaining that he didn't have much money but had plenty of strength and talent. He shared a story about how Palmer and his father used to borrow golf clubs from members at the local course to play at night.

Trump mentioned that as Palmer grew stronger, he became so powerful that regular golf clubs would break when he used them, leading him to use sturdier, stiff-shafted ones.

Trump also highlighted how Palmer dominated in high school, often beating wealthier kids at golf. He said that though he was a nice guy, Palmer had a competitive edge and loved winning.

In his lengthy anecdote about Arnold Palmer, Trump also touched on one of Palmer’s college opponents, Mark McCormack, who later founded IMG (International Management Group).

According to Trump, McCormack didn’t attend Wake Forest University like Arnold Palmer but went to a different university, which Trump humorously avoided naming because, as he put it, it wasn’t worth looking up.

Trump recounted how McCormack once played against Palmer and quickly realized he could never turn professional, as Palmer outclassed him in every aspect of the game.

Even when McCormack gave it his all, Palmer was "longer, straighter, chipped better, putted better, and thought better," prompting laughter from the crowd as Trump quipped, "Other than that, they were very close."

McCormack later went on to represent Palmer, with the golfer becoming his very first client, marking the beginning of their successful business relationship.
