Brad Simpson, husband of the 51-year-old missing San Antonio realtor Suzanne Simpson has been arrested following reports by Simpson's neighbors on Wednesday at 1:30 am on charges of assault and unlawful restraint.

Suzanne was reported missing on Monday, October 6, by her husband Brad Simpson. She was last seen after attending a party at The Argyle Club in Alamo Heights.

While the Olmos Park Police Department and the Texas Department of Public Safety have been involved in search efforts in and around Olmos Park, Suzanne is still missing.

What exactly led to Brad Simpson's arrest?

A neighbor informed authorities that he had witnessed a confrontation between Suzanne and her husband, Brad, outside their home following a party on Monday night (October 6).

According to the neighbor, between 10 and 11 pm, he overheard an argument and saw Brad Simpson trying to restrain Suzanne as she attempted to break free physically. Later, he saw the couple walking towards a wooded area and heard “two or three screams.”

He also mentioned seeing Brad Simpson leave in his black 2019 GMC pickup truck about an hour later, returning after an hour or two. The next day, Suzanne failed to pick up one of their children from school, prompting concern.

School staff also shared that one of her daughters had mentioned that her father had hurt her mother and confiscated her phone. This incident was also mentioned in the arrest affidavit.

Olmos Park Police Chief Fidel Villegas held a press conference and said that while they were aware that Suzanne Simpson was last seen at The Argyle, a club in Alamo Heights between 6 pm and 9 pm, they weren't made aware of an altercation between Suzzane and Brad Simpson (who had originally reported her missing).

Chief Fidel also mentioned that before his arrest, Brad Simpson had avoided a scheduled interview with Olmos Park police and retreated to a family property in Bandera County. Authorities eventually apprehended him in Kendall County as part of the ongoing investigation.

His refusal to engage with law enforcement raised further suspicions regarding his involvement in the case.

While it's premature to draw conclusions, the details that have emerged from this case are a cause for concern. Brad Simpson, who had been married to Suzanne for 22 years, was arrested after reports surfaced of a violent confrontation between the two.

His arrest raised a significant alarm about what might have happened behind closed doors throughout their marriage. These unanswered questions only deepen the uncertainty surrounding Suzanne’s disappearance, casting doubt and mystery over the situation.

Investigators are urging the public to report any sightings of his black truck between Monday morning and Tuesday night as they continue the search for Suzanne. Brad, who had retreated to his ranch, has refused to cooperate with the investigation.
